LoveLace Lingerie…Salute!
![]()
A friend of mine once said, and I love this line, that one really only stops being a noob when one discovers Pixel Dolls.
Really, how perfect is that?
I was bopping around Port Seraphine the other day and stopped into LoveLace, which features some wonderful underthings, and I begged one of my fashion heroes, Launa Fauna, to send me some of the great lingerie she offers there. The result made me squeal.
To the left you see Launa’s Satin Dream, which comes in four colors for a mere L$112 per color. I love to have well drawn underwear on hand for those moments when the clothes come off, and this set, with intricately detailed lace and beautiful highlights will be the set I’m wearing the next time someone takes me home or I just feel like lounging around in my panties.

Here we have Rosa, which comes in three colors and is even more exquisite in its detail. The lace trim and subtle highlights and texturing make this a great set of clothing, so much so you’ll be reluctant to cover it up with other clothes. Each color is only L$112.
LoveLace is a great shop and you will find the place literally bursting with great deals on quality clothes by Launa Fauna, Nephilaine Protagonist and Dolce Blackflag. Take a trip and see the place, you’ll be glad you did.
Spring has Sprung…
….Apparently. I can’t say it’s all too evident on this side of the Atlantic, but as far as SL is concerned, we’re starting to see some changes in styles. Naturally I welcome anything that involves baring more flesh, and was suitably pleased with Nymphetamine’s latest Rose Petal sets. The lingerie set is my favourite of the two, comprising a cropped corset and matching panties, which can best be described as sensible yet sexy. Rather than a micro-g, we have panties that will not leave you with chafing of your most sensitive areas – possibly not the foremost consideration for virtual underwear, but I’m somehow appreciating it nonetheless. These high legged hipsters are suitably girly, with toned fabric and floral rosettes decorating the sides. A slighty scalloped coloured trim runs around the hems, and you’ll find this clings satisfyingly to your bottom, suitably emphasising your curves.
The strapless corset dips low to the front, framed by a string of rosebuds with tendrils of foliage that creep onto the skin. The back is open and loosely laced, more blossoms acting as fasteners on either side.
In addition, Paeoti Pomeray has released this little dress set, in the same style, although the corset is matched to a puffed skirt that flounces high at the waist, forming a large circle that sits just short of the knee. The panels fall like long petals, their ends draped with more rosebuds: this made me feel so carefree that I was almost overcome with the urge to grab myself a wicker basket and go skipping through some new-mown fields.
There is a wealth of colours available: a good option is to buy everything you like and mix and match accordingly. Paeoti considered this and released a multipack that covers 12 complete sets for $3800L. Travel over to Nymphetamine and pick yours: corset/panties retail at just $350L and the dresses come in at $400L each.
Retro Knickers from Bossa Nova
Bossa Nova is a shop I visit from time to time: if you want conservative vintage fashion it’s fantastic, but I tend to bare a little more flesh than Moire Georgette’s beautiful but modest clothing allows.
Having said that, Moire has recently released two gorgeous lingerie fat packs that you really ought to check out. The retro glam look exaggerates your curves and is pretty darn sexy: and it’s certainly a little different to most of the lingerie you’ll find.
Both looks appear to be taken from 1940s/50s period styles. Angelique is the first set I looked at, shown here in the rich chocolate colour, although there are three other tones included. The full cup bra suspends from thin shoulder straps, with a ruffled lace edge to the top of the cups. There’s an option to make the lace on the outfit a little more transparent, if you prefer. Underwiring provides firm support, with a criss-cross back feature which is rather pretty.
The waist is nipped with a girdle which runs to the undershorts with two leaf-laced panels that finish at the crotch. The short legs cut upwards to accommodate more lace panels, with single bowed suspender straps to the front. The stockings are reinforced for a darker upper, with seam running to the back of the legs to add length. The material is subtly creased throughout to mimic the lines of the body, with strong shading to the rear to give a strong sense of the restriction of the cloth.
My pinickets? Tiny seamage issues: I’ll mention them as that and then ignore them, as they are genuinely barely noticeable. But you know how I like to mention everything. Angelique is currently available in a deep pink for the bargain price of $0L. It’s a perfectly acceptable shade of pink, girls: get that one while you can.
If that didn’t make you squee with delight, Rosalia just might. The corselet is an unusual style outside of bridal lingerie these days, but it is a wonderful addition to your lingerie arsenal. The set comes again in four colours, and by mixing and matching the prim pieces you can create more of your own looks.
The strapless bodice is flecked, centred by a large flower blossom that sits between the breasts. A dusting of silver works its way down the body, with simple suspenders again holding up elegant stockings to complete the style; a trio of blossoms cover each fastening, offering another dimension. If you do strip off another layer, you’ll find a pair of very sheer lace shorties which are a nice finish.
The piece de résistance for Rosalia, however, has to be the work on the material itself. The front is strong, with light reflecting from well-placed wrinkles, but the back is an absolute delight to behold, the work to the small of the back looking extremely realistic. The butt highlights are spot on too, emphasised by the unusual prim skirting piece that sits between the legs: so you could wear this as a short set if you prefer. I love all the little accents and the interchange arrangements too (you must buy the fat pack to fully appreciate this one).
Angelique and Rosalia, both $200L per colour or fat pack for $500L
Jarnia Underground
Janine Jewell has just released some super new outfits at Jarnia Underground that I have been itching to share with you. Normally I wouldn’t throw out a review so soon after we release the new magazine, but I suppose I’ve been neglectful lately, so a little treat may be just deserved!
This feathered gown is luscious: your neck and shoulders are caressed with raven plumage, the high collar cutting off above the chest and leaving an open panel to display most of what you have to offer. You can add a bra as a faux modesty layer, but it’s lovely without: even my humble curves are promoted to verifiable mountains with this flattering cut.
There’s a lovely bustle around the waist, beneath which the skirt falls, softly decorated panels that finish in a deeply arced edge. There is a thread line to the base – a transparency issue, I think – but it really didn’t bother me at all. The dress is richly textured and well styled, making a reasonably priced and sexy addition to your formal collection.
If you’d rather be at the beach than the ballroom, you could consider this pretty gold/green cheque bikini which is also new in store. I love the strapless top; the cups don’t quite cover your assets, material linking centrally around a gold hoop, with a strappy back and detailed clasp finish. The lower half is just as nice, a scalloped thong backed panty with side ring detail at the front: I had no seaming issues, just functional, pretty swimwear with a very nice $100L price tag. That makes me a happy little beach bunny.
Of course, we couldn’t forget the new lingerie that Janine has put out, especially not when it’s in red and black lace. Yummy. Thin straps support a full bra, bright ribbon bow centring above the split coloured cups: the lace overlays the frame, small circles slipping beneath the wiring at the breasts, with a transparent sides and back. I appreciate the opaque detail that indicates a hook fixture: realism, especially in lingerie, always makes me smile.
The panties are quite full (as far as SL panties go), covering a good third of the buttocks. The edges roll softly, with sewn seams to front and back and another little bow to finish.
If you haven’t sampled Jarnia Underground before, you’ve certainly been missing out. The store is growing all the time, and there are plenty of lovely dresses, casuals and accessories to browse through. Don’t just take my word for it though: take a look for yourself!

In Heaven with SFD
I am forever lusting after SL clothing in a RL context: some of our designers are amazingly talented, and I would do nigh on anything to have their goods in my packed to bursting wardrobe (yes, I do need another pair of boots and three more catsuits, they’re entirely necessary to my existence).SFD has teamed up with RL designer Elle of ‘Heavenly Corsets’, and has replicated some of her very fine designs in SL. ‘Petite Coquine’ is a newer release, the corset based on Elle’s design with the rest of the outfit being an original creation from Swaffette Firefly who runs the SFD label.
The bra top comes in a transparent and opaque version (opaque shown), and is a simple design to compliment rather than detract from the corset. The cups are full with some plunge to the front, with frilled trim which is picked up again in the stockings and puff skirt.
The underbust corset – also available in pink - has an almost translucent sheen to it, material crinkled between the boning for a realistic worn effect. Steel grips pin the front, and to the back you’ll find neat lacing running through rows of eyelets, with a prim tie to finish. This works well on the body to give a cinched effect at the waist, and will accentuate an hourglass shape beautifully if you undergo a little slider surgery.
To give you the most from this lingerie set, Swaffette has helpfully included panties, garter belt, puffed skirt and stockings, to give a complete set which is sure to set your intended’s heart a-flutter.
The skirt I adore: it’s a simple design, but the jaunty angle and minimal coverage absolutely hit the spot for me. I love the way the mesh ruffles at the top, fighting with the base of the corset – it’s not ballet, but I get the same girlie feel as I would from a tutu, and it just gels perfectly with this style. The panels are scalloped with jagged lace, which accents and looks especially nice against a contrasting skin.
The panties are more or less completely see-through, although the various coverings will protect your modesty for as long as they stay on. Over layering, the garter belt is simple, defined by a lace top with thick strapped suspenders that attach well to the thigh-high stockings. Bold back seams that run to the foot give these an added zing from the rear.
The shoes are a new release from Fallingwater Cellardoor of Shiny Things. I’m saving the highlights on these for another review, but suffice to say they do go very well with this set, and as a classic style you really ought to add a pair or two to your shoe cupboard.
SFD features other beautiful corsets as well as a whole range of original clothing designs. Make sure you pay a visit this weekend so you can drop appropriate hints for your partner’s reference.

Lingerie by Hollee, Life Lesson by Jaime

I know I’m not the only one who does this. Well. I hope I’m not the only one who does this. I’ll go out on a limb here- have you ever breathed an SL sigh of relief that you remembered to wear underwear?
I’m not talking about clean underwear like Mom told you to wear, I’m talking about any underwear.
It happens on occasion that I’m dressed to the nines in my SL best- whether it’s formal or club, casual or business- and I go home with a special someone and then learn that I’ve forgotten underwear. Glitch shorts, prim skirt, jacket layer, tattoos, whatever else we have going, it’s a lot to balance, and when you think you have one more layer between you and naked and then suddenly you don’t, it can be a bit awkward.
Having a folder full of nice dependable underpants you can find quickly is a good thing. With some lingerie sets being more complicated than rocket science, they may not be dependable when you need something in a hurry, so do yourself a favor and invest in some simple bra and panty sets that will go with most everything and mark them so you can find them when you need them.

I had this very thing happen to me not long ago. I was disrobing for a fashion thing, (boring, I know, I know) and discovered, much to my relief, that I was in fact wearing underwear. Not only that, I loved them! They were an adorable pair of boyshorts and I took them off to put on whatever outfit I was supposed to wear, and I haven’t been able to find the darn things since! Lost in my inventory for who knows how long.
A few days later, when I was out shopping and stopped by Lingerie by Hollee I thought of this and realized it’s a good lesson for us all. Douglas Adams told us to always know where our towel is, Jaime Wheeler says always know what folder your underpants are in.
Two perfect choices for your underwear folder are featured here. Both are by Lingerie by Hollee. Sheer Entwine, shown below, is a very sexy little lace thong you’ll just love, and dotted balconette, above, is fuller in its cut and features touches of lace that make it both sexy and gorgeous. Both sets come in a wide range of colors and as all of Hollee’s things are priced well below market value I think you’ll be pleased with the price.
Leslie from Insolence
There are designers I come back to time and time again, and one of them is Camilla Yosuke. Insolence lingerie is always so beautiful that you can’t help lusting after it, and in my case, going so far as to start trawling the ‘net to see if there’s anything you can buy for real that’s even half as nice.
Leslie is a simple bra, panty and stockings set. Simple but oh-so sexy, and you just know you’ll want it in every colour available (of which there are six). I’m in grey, misty rose and sea green here.
Plain black straps support the scallop cup bra, the satin embroidered with a soft floral that is echoed throughout the set. A dark lace trim decorates and runs down to split the cups, meeting to the centre with a tiny black tie - for those of you who usually have to remove Camilla’s delicate little prims because they sit over your clothes, this can be worn as seen beneath your daywear as the tie is drawn. (And it still looks just as nice!) The back of the bra is made from a tulle lace, with a covered hook fastening.
The panties are beautifully cut a made from the same decorated satin, with high legs and a low lace-edged front. The side straps are thin, joining to meet the mesh back which is sheer enough to show off your butt cleavage: naturally I thought I’d show you mine so that you can compare. Camilla very kindly finished Leslie with a pair of tailor made hold ups, offering flowery uppers with a narrow back seam to detail these semi-opaque stockings.
It’s effortlessly gorgeous, understated but beautiful. It says “I wasn’t expecting you to see me in a state of undress!” and “Imagine what I wear when I’m really trying to impress…”
If the search engine doesn’t work fast enough for you, you can teleport to Insolence from this link. If you need to put some Lindens in the bank beforehand, I’ve even done the maths for you: $200L times six is exactly $1200L….
An Obsession with Solange
Solange Cerveau is an expert seamstress, crafting silks, dresses and lingerie with exquisite attention to detail. A recent release is her ‘Obsession’ ensemble, which is technically lingerie, but I still reckon I could pass this off as a dress when the weather gets a little warmer. Oh how I’ll try.
Obsession comes with several pieces so you can create your own style. The strapless bra comes in both a modest silk and sheer lace version: the cups are precisely trimmed with lace to soften the plunging line, and have an optional ribbon tie to the centre, composed from a floppy bow festooned with lace.
The button-back corset is panelled, sections of ribbed cloth sandwiched by those bearing swirling patterns, the lower edge trimmed with lace. Another version of the corset is included which is a darker, solid colour throughout; both can be worn without the bra top if you care to bare a little more.
Arm ruffles come with both sets for something a little extra; the lace is cut ragged and bunched up for more weight, tied to the top with contrasting ribbon. These are ever so pretty and can also be matched with other sets you might already own.
I should point out here the texturing on the lacework. You can’t help
but appreciate and indeed admire the work here, evident all over, but most prominently on the belted mini skirt. Swollen bands hold this across the hips, dipping centrally to the front and back in Solange’s signature style. The lacework is meticulous and the skirt panels set for a smooth, swirling motion on movement.
If you can bear to strip down, you won’t be disappointed with the thong either. Again you’ll find both sheer lace and opaque silk in the pack, with lines to match the skirt. The side straps are thick enough for the lace to be seen, scalloped edges providing a rounded finish.
As if this wasn’t enough to get you over to the store, it’s also worth noting that Solange is currently running a hunt for freebies on the sim, which have so far included two cami sets, some silks, earrings, a bracelet and an oversized chequered shirt – the kind you steal from your boyfriend to wrap up in. They’re only available for a short period of time, so make sure you run along to Solange and get your Christmas goodies.
Obsession (shown in Champagne and in Black) $350L per colour
Casa del Shai - Chastity
The latest creation from Shai Delacroix made me coo with delight. If the name raised your eyebrows, I suggest you take a closer look, and it might become a little clearer.
With an iron key bound to the neck with leather thongs, the theme of the piece is dangled before your audience from the outset. The corset top is strapless, cups rising high from the plunging neckline and low back, fixed with a double-threaded gore above a key hole cut out. The lightly boned bodice is overlaid with lace, the texturing ‘reach out and grab it’ good; around the waist there is more strapping, a crisscross weave that supports the work of the triple hook fastening to the back.
The panties are thick around the waist, the lace rising in curves above the binding that mirrors the rest of the outfit, stringing suspenders to the front and back. The sturdy clasps grip the stockings, tugging the material to the tops. The pantyhose is semi-sheer all over, serving its purpose but taking nothing away from the crux of this design.
Because of the lay of the bonds around the body, you may find slight alignment issues on your shape, although you’d need the eyes of a critic to notice. I doubt they’ll cause you any bother. As a point of interest, do note that the arm bands and necklace are part of the top, so you do have to wear the whole lot together (well it is the whole point of the set!). The ornamentation can be matched with various outfits, or if all else fails, hide it beneath a trusty polo neck until you’re ready to reveal all.
Chastity is available in chocolate, black and pink, all of which look gorgeous on. Each colour retails at $400L and is available from the boudoir section of Casa del Shai.
