Free Draw and New Skins with SPIRIT

SPIRIT_Jodie__Missy_and_Giselle.jpgSavannahAnn McMillan of SPIRIT is having a contest draw to celebrate the second skins release! 5 winners will be drawn from the notecards she receives next week. To enter, just send SPIRIT owner SavannahAnn McMillan a notecard stating the exact names of the two skins (including the names of the makeup options) you want to receive if your name is drawn (deadline to enter is Friday, June 20th). The winners will be drawn on Saturday, June 21st and announced in-world in the SPIRIT Fan Group, as well as on the SPIRIT blog at http://slspirit.blogspot.com!

I tried on a selection of the new skins and featured in the photo are Jodie in Rose/Brown Dark, Missy in Pink/Smoky Light & Giselle in Rose/Brown Dark. My personal fave is the Missy skin with its delicate gloss on the lips and the realistic skin tone with beauty marks on the cheek. These are colourful and glowing skins and I know you’ll love them as much as I do.

To choose your two favorite SPIRIT Skins makeups, TP to SPIRIT, then click on the Skins TP sign to your right when you arrive. This will take you directly to the new SPIRIT Skins room on the second floor of the SPIRIT Dance Theater.

New Skins at INSOLENCE

Kathy_Sunkiss_Smokey_Claire_Pale_Night__Helen_Tan_Night.jpgEstelle_Tan_Smokey__Carol_Tan_Silver__Faye_Pale_Smokey.jpg

Camilla Yosuke of INSOLENCE was kind enough to show me her new photorealistic skins series. I was intrigued, so I slapped a few on. She isn’t kidding about the photorealism and I find they are tempered with a very smooth and subtle quality too. I would say they are arguably one of the best photorealistic sets out there because of this lovely and difficult balance.

The first picture features Kathy Sunkiss Smokey, Claire Pale Night & Helen Tan Night. Camille also has modifiable shapes that correspond with these skins which are great, but I couldn’t resist trying them on my own shape. I love the subtle shades of the lips and just a hint of very delicate colour on the cheeks.

The second set is Estelle Tan Smokey, Carol Tan Silver & Faye Pale Smokey. I noticed that this set of skins has an even more noticeable photorealistic aspect…I mean just look at Estelle with her highly detailed freckles and stippling! So cute!

Camilla Yosuke is clearly a stickler for detail and helping us look our very best. She included a really well done lighting tutorial as well (great for us photographers!) to show the skins in their best light. In my photos, I used a simple two-light system and very little environmental controls and absolutely no photo editing of the skins and I really liked the result.

Check these skins out and all their makeup variations for yourself at INSOLENCE Skins on the Venom sim.

Show Some Spirit

spirit_skins_copy.jpg SPIRIT Skins has a brand new line of skins called Veterans (named in reference to RL pro cheerleaders who are on their team for more than one year). These new photosourced/hand painted hybrid skins are available in 8 skin tones (Ivory, Almond, Pure, Honey, Sandy, Tan, Caramel, and Cocoa), and each skin tone offers 36 makeup options (that comes to 288 skins to choose from!). The makeups are sold in no mod/copy/no trans pairs with glossy/matte finish lipstick options, and include a mod/copy/no trans eyebrow shape, face lamp system, color tintable natural style pubic hair on the underwear layer and the makeup picture for future reference to make skin changes quicker and easier…all for $1000L per skin pair. Featured in the picture is a selection of the Veteran skin line in Caramel, Cocoa and Sandy Beige in glossy and matte styles.

Like the lips on one SPIRIT Skins makeup, but the eye makeup on another? SPIRIT owner SavannahAnn McMillan will be happy to custom combine any currently available SPIRIT Skins makeups on any of the skin tones for just $700 per skin. Drop her a notecard listing your custom SPIRIT Skins makeup choices and which of the SPIRIT Skins skin tones you want. Custom skins can be completed within as little as a day or two depending on SavannahAnn’s current work schedule and yes, she can also send a custom SPIRIT Skin as a gift!

Fashionity Fantasy and Canimal

fashionity_001.jpgMy so called real life has been busy busy busy of late and I’ve only been able to get into Second Life in little bursts. I thought I should tell you what I’ve been wearing when I do get in tho.

I put on a cute little polka dot dress called Angelique from Fashionity Fantasy. It comes in a scripted version that sits with you and a regular version, both for just L$185. The fabric is well drawn, as is a ribbon that gathers the back and forms a bow.

For skins I’ve been wearing the Essence line from Canimal and I love them! In the pic you see the tone called Charm in the makeup Simplicity. I absolutely love the way it looks on me and will shop for more of them soon. For L$800 you get free eyes, some eyebrow sample shapes. The eyebrows and lip colors can be changed in appearance mode. You can also add and remove lip gloss in appearance.

Hopefully my life will return to normal and I’ll be back with more sexy things soon, but it’s nice to know that when I log in I’ll have great outfits like this one nearby.

Totally Tuli!

Tuli_001.jpgAs much as I love to shop, it is very rare that I can be completely covered from head to toe in one brand. That has officially changed. From skin to hair to clothes to jewelry, I’m totally Tuli! The designer, Tuli Asturias, is an unbelievable artist with many talents. Yes, lots of designers have their niche and branch into other products, but I truly believe that Tuli has excelled in every aspect.

Let me start with the skin. The gorgeous skin. I’m wearing the S5 tan in Diva 1. From the deep red lips to the beautifully drawn liner, this skin screams diva! The genitalia is beautifully drawn as well. I am a self proclaimed skin whore, but this has been the only skin I’ve been wearing lately because I am so in love with it. Each skin is 1000L, or you can get a 3 pack for 2000L. I will be getting more in other skin tones as well. I’m in love with the skin!

Next, we go to hair. Yes, I’m also a hair whore, but I have a few favorites that I usually stick to. Well, guess what, I’m in love with her hair too. I had trouble deciding which one to get, but I decided on the Annyka in Dark brown, my signature shade. The locks are perfectly tousled, looking sexy and not sloppy. I love how the bangs fall. Actually, I love everything about it! Another bonus - it comes in a skull and spine version. My only complaint, which is quite minor, is that a snapshot of the hair was not included. I like having that just because I have quite a collection, and I want a quick reference if I’m trying to get a certain look. Tuli’s hairs are 150L each or 1000L for the pack with all shades (10 shades).

Tuli_002.jpgI realized I didn’t have much jewelry, so I moved on to her jewelry section. Tuli has a few necklaces that are all beautifully made. I decided on the Cross Necklace in Gunmetal. It is intricately detailed on a linked chain, and absolutely gorgeous. She graciously provides a demo so you can make sure it fits your avatar. It will adjust, but only increase in size, not decrease. You need to check this out for sure! Best of all? It’s only 100L!

Lastly - my outfit! Again, I had trouble deciding, but I chose the Bette Romance in red. It is beautifully detailed and what I’d like to call casual elegance. I love the floral details on the shrug, and the prim skirt is very nicely designed. I am sure I will finish picking up the rest of these dresses soon!! Only 200L!

Please be sure to check out her main store in the le Zoo! You will not regret it!

RFL Posts- SLippery Skins

SLipperyRFLcensored.jpgI thought I might get out and look at some of the goodies that are available through Relay for Life, and just as I was browsing through the list over at Relay for Life of Second Life and wondering where I’d begin, Joan Philbin of SLippery Im’d me to tell me about a sale her shop is having.

Lo and behold, SLippery also has RFL skins she’s selling, a pack of 3 for L$500. The skins are very tan, one has a tanline ribbon on the hip, the other two vary in only the pubes. The make-up is only available through this year’s RFL offer and won’t be available in this tone again. Click on the pic to see Jaime in her alltogether. I do absolutely adore the pubes on SLippery’s skins.
SLippery is having a two for one sale this weekend- buy at least two skins and and she’ll refund the price of half of what you buy. While you’re there, pick up some of the RFL skins, which are not included in the sale, but are well worth having. Apparently SLippery is hard to find in search, so here’s another link.

Lacey Luxury

mannon__s_pink_lace_myra_skin_004_copy.jpg

For a really beautiful set of lingerie, I think Mannon Mannonen, creator and proprietress of Mannon’s, does one of the best jobs around! The textures are so delicate and realistic and really well executed all around. She sent me a few pieces of hers to try and I chose this pink lace set. It comes with two types of stockings - one lacy and one opaque as well as two types of undies - one with garter that I’m wearing and one lacy with no garter. The best part is that the whole set is only 180L and worth every penny I say. In the picture, I’ve paired it with another Mannon’s creation; a new skin called Myra. The one I’m wearing is the Dark Red lips with tan version. Each skin also comes with tintable eyes. A single skin is ONLY 450L and a pack of 4 for 1200L. You can pick up both the lingerie and skin as well as some fabulous clothes either at her Stella’s Mall location or her main shop on Alderney Island.

Majestic Sweet Peach lingerie with Canimal Skin

sweet_peach_lingerie_with_canimal_skin_001_copy.jpgAustie Pegler and Martini Joliat of Reasonable Desires were kind enough to drop on me this beautiful lingerie set called Majestic Sweet Peach. This is a beautiful embossed satin set that also comes with coordinating peach stockings. I’ve chosen the opaque brown shade in the photo. This set is flirty and sweet with a fuller back panty instead of a thong. Now, hold on to your hats, because this gorgeous set is only 75L! I asked Austie why such quality work was being sold so inexpensively as surely her products could fetch much more. Her philosophy has always been that she wanted everyone to be able to afford beautiful items without breaking the bank. I think most of us probably have in our inventories an item from Reasonable Desires when we were just starting out ~ I know I still do. So, on behalf of everyone I’ll say thanks to Reasonable Desires.

Also featued in the photo is a skin from Canimal made by Canimal Zephyr. You couldn’t imagine my excitement when fashion guru herself dropped on me her line of new, recently released skins called ‘Essence’. Featured in the photo is Essence Charm as well as eyes in Essence Soul Green. The idea is that each skintone is named after a different feminine quality: Grace, Charm, Mystery, Lust & Charisma. Then each makeup is the essence of something else, such as: essence of snow, of sunset, of poison.. etc. The skins include free eyes, some eyebrow sample shapes, and the eyebrows & lip colors can be changed in appearance mode. You can also add/remove lipgloss in appearance. These skins are excellently done and well worth the 800L per skin or a set of 3 with different makeup for 2000L.

Tanlines…Brilliant!

Tanlines.jpg

New skinner Joan Philbin was given a thoughtful and thorough review by our incredible Arabeth Laval last week. Joan’s endearing IM of thanks was such that I paid attention when she dropped a sample pack of her skins on me as a thank you to the SexySecond team. I was thrilled to find skins in there with tanlines, which is, it seems, a new line that her store, SLippery, has just come out with. All I have to say is brilliant. I’ve been waiting for some good tanlines, they can be wonderfully sexy.

The idea of stripping down for someone, and showing them the parts that even the sun hasn’t seen, makes stripping down that much more fun. Slippery’s skins are good, the tanlines are well executed, and the whole look is something I like. (I even wore one when doing the picture of Simone’s towel wrap yesterday and forgot to mention it). SLippery  There’s a normal tanline skin, which is very subtle, and an extreme, where the white parts have clearly not been touched by the sun. Each of the two shades is L$600. With each shade you get two makeups. (The best part about SLippery is that L$300 per skin is high for them!)
While these won’t replace my everyday skin, yet, they will be fun to wear to the nude beach or some other skin friendly venue. Put down the sunscreen, head to SLippery and give them a try.
