Woodland Wind – Lying in Wait for you
I stumble across some fantastic stores when I’m out exploring, and Woodland Wind is certainly my fab find of the week. Kutjara Niles’ open air store seems to specialise in pretty prim work that exposes generous amounts of flesh, so if you’re looking for some themed silks, this is a great place to look.
As creative with her naming as with her clothing, Kutjara offers ‘Ambuscade’, a cloaked ensemble that would certainly provide great camouflage if you intended to wait to pounce on a selected victim. The outfit is set by a cloak, draped straight on either side of the body and trimmed with fur: the large roll over collar encompasses the shoulders with the material falling from beneath to the floor. While I like the design and do enjoy parading about in such things, I did find that my arms passed through the back quite a lot because my AO really isn’t designed for this, but I think that would be something most capes and cloaks in world share as a design flaw.
Beneath you’ll find the barely-there shirt with irregular zigzag lacing up the back and either side. The seams are quite noticeable as there is a slight alignment issue, but I’ve shown this in the picture so you can judge for yourself if this would be an issue for you. The tight pants are similarly designed, generously textured as the cloak and the shirt, making you feel as though you’re wrapped in wonderfully soft pelt.![]()
The real art here though is the primwork, which is definitely where the beauty shines through. The spotted gloves sit just under a pair of beaded bracers, constructed from bands of hide and bound together with brown leather cord. The laces run through a smattering of green beads, also placing two animal claws and another accent carved from stone. The rustic assembly has a wonderful charm to it, and this is continued by way of the upper arm cuff and the central wrap which snake about the body in a purely decorative manner, both bearing the beautiful leopard fur texturing. I am also hooked on the double corded belt which sits high on the hips, dropping at the back into a single piece which holds the pelt flap in place. The design is similar to the front but with more feathering, a curved flask and a covered pouch featuring at either side.
The boots mimic the rest of the costume, flat and cord bound with a sole that actually rucks up where the strings are drawn, which I think is a wonderful touch that makes these believable and particularly good as role play costume. The claw and stone detail from the bracers appears on the foot, and slung fur is patched at the calf for some added interest.
If you liked that, then see what you make of ‘Hunter’, shown here in the darker version which I prefer on my light skin. This is all primwork and has certainly met with the general admiration and approval of everyone who has seen me in it so far.
The bra top is pieced together from wood, cord and tawny fur, large and haphazard stitches across the front beam with the modesty section flapping precariously. Two large feathers sit to the front for that little bit extra. How this holds itself up is anyone’s guess, but I don’t give two hoots. I love it. You’ll also find two upper arm cuffs which are carefully pieced together and finished with the double feather mark that features everywhere in this set.
The rope belt is made of several strands, woven together and splitting and dipping intermittently. You’ll find all you need by way of weaponry poorly concealed on either side, but if you still feel lacking there are several throwing knives at your disposal if you reach to your thigh, or for the more personal approach, a curved blade attached to the right boot. Excellent for panther girls and perhaps even eco warriors who are tired of the unwashed ripped jeans look.
The skirt is styled exactly like the bra, and is minimal to say the least. I should warn you that there is no underthing supplied, so if you’re not willing to bare all then you’ll need to find your own. I love the way this barely conceals my bum when I’m walking – heck, when I’m just standing there - the continuation of the ragged pelt flaps, crude stitching and repeated quilling works very well.
Woodland Wind pushes all the right buttons for me, and I can assure you that there’s plenty more where these came from. If you like what you see, go and take a look around, you’ll undoubtedly walk away with something from this distinctive collection.
NB. No animals were harmed in the making of this review, although a few passers by did walk into immovable objects, which I’m guessing made them feel silly and possibly damaged their kudos. Shame.

The Seduction of Sylfie’s: Succubus
If you know a little about me, you’ll know that boots are the way to my heart - unless you prefer the slightly more gory but less expensive route through the ribcage. In any case, I was touring the metaverse looking for something new to add to my collection, when to my surprise I came across this superb outfit at Sylfie’s Prim Seduction.
Most people will be aware that Sylfie Minogue is renowned for her shoes, so I suppose it shouldn’t have come as a great shock that she has started a fantasy costume series, debuting with ‘Succubus’. I can’t help myself when it comes to things that are shrouded in darkness, so I willingly gave my body up for Sylfie’s masterpiece.
Where to start? This outfit is a meld of metal, leather, bone and rubber, the amalgamation seamless and completely fitting of the design. Starting with the head, Succubus is crowned with horns that curve back from the armoured framework set to the face. It’s high fantasy at its finest, the plating over the nose setting the scene for a character who is ready to fight.
The armouring continues over the body, the neck well protected with banding that winds down at the front for a polished V over the collar bone, with a stepped setting to the back. This splits into two and runs both ways, the lower half draped with loose fetters. Securely fastened with chains and strapping, this supports the rest of the upper body armour, with shoulder casing, sturdy arm bands and gleaming leather strapped bracers that are simply embellished with ovals on the solid side. As intricate as this is, the detail is in the prims, and as such there is no overkill with fussy patterning, although the brown stitching and bronzed buckle details finish everything just nicely.![]()
The bra top is magnificent and on my part required no adjusting to fit. The pasties are discus adorned with curls of metal that mirror the horns. Carved bone provides a macabre tassel detail and sudden contrast of colour, which completes this to my absolute satisfaction.
A very visible blade is sheathed at the hip, its curved edge hidden but the bound hilt on display as a reminder in case any unwelcome attention should come your way. The belt it is slung on sits high to the waist, trimmed bands and metal rings linking to the armour that is positioned to protect what may be vulnerable. This is finished with a dual rubber skirt that hangs long to the leg, matching the drapes that lie to the back of the arms.
The legs are suitably adorned with chain-dripped leg cuffs to the top, but naturally the detail here is in the boots (yes, I got my fix after all). The cuffs are flipped down to reveal a luxurious fur lining which conceals much of the scrunched leg. The stitching is the dominant detail here, emphasising the various panels and straps used in the construction. The toes draw to a point with the arch almost vertical, with skinny stilettos to finish. These look glorious, but please don’t wear them out shopping unless you have a healthy supply of bandages in your handbag.
I should tell you that I’m not wearing the wings that complete the set - not because they’re not fabulous, they’re just immense and I felt more attention was due elsewhere as I suspect most people will wear this without. I wanted, in fact I needed to show you how much detail has gone into this divine creation, so do forgive my omission.
At $1500L, this outfit isn’t cheap, but it is worth the money, especially when you consider the booties that come as part of the package. If you can’t resist, I suggest taking a look at Sylfie’s Prim Seduction.
Hera and Thekla – Nubian Angel
Nubian Angel has moved! Update your landmarks and go and take a look at the new location; while you’re there, have a look at Hiri Nurmi’s latest release, the Hera silks which come in a number of colours.
The outfit is entirely prim based and I will admit that this was the hardest Nubian Angel silk I’ve fitted to date, but after some quick breast augmentation I did find the job a little simpler. Better endowed ladies may find these slip straight on, and as usual you’re provided with two size versions to make life a easier from the outset. Still, however much you have to fiddle, it’s worth it to get a snug fit. If you get really stuck, there are three free shapes available in store - take a look and use their stats to give you a starting point.
One feature of this that sets Hera apart is that it’s loaded with a customisable script that allows you to change the hue of the outfit detailing and indeed the actual shading of the fabric. You can make the fabric look solid, or give it more depth with pattern and pull. I always love options like this as you can make the outfit more your own, and it’s all controlled with chat commands detailed in a notecard.
The detailing is superb: set to copper (as shown), the outfit has a rustic feel, with what looks like wooden beading and catches, but if you set to silver or gold it works just as well with a slightly more opulent feel. The bra top on this is fantstic, and I don’t think it would go amiss when incorporated into another outfit; if you change the shading a striped and swirled patterning peeps through, but even as a solid colour this still looks perfect on. The neckline is a simple halter with ties crossing to the front, meeting the cups to the top.
Centred beneath are two teardrop stones which lie encapsulated in half cages of twisted wire; there are further neatly bound stones hung one to each side at the outer edges.
The belt is the most unusual feature, a braided design reflected again in both the ankle bracelets and armlets. It’s easy to appreciate the work on this, especially in motion when the skirt drifts around your limbs. Hiri has created yet another masterpiece and if you wish to be worshipped as a goddess then ‘Hera’ may be just the set for you.
Of course there’s more, even after our last encounter. Any seductress worth her salt should consider having Nubian Angel’s ‘Thekla’ in her wardrobe: effortless but beautiful, the transparency of the silk over the skin tantalises in a way that a more opaque style does not, particularly when stood still.
The top is similar in design to Hera, but differs in the choice of binding. The twine that holds everything together is knotted and bead threaded with curled ends, and despite the finer points being played out in intricate detail, these never seem fussy or overdone. The arm and anklets are also braided, but the skirt is very different.
The panty front dips very low and has a gorgeous shape to it, something like a leaf being torn asunder by the threads at either side. I love the back detail on the skirt, set with a little swag of material pinned at either end and displaying the ribbon and cord embellishment that is the signature for Thekla. The fine spun fabric flows in layered panels to the back and front, with painted artwork to finish at the base.
Whether or not you intend to buy, you really should pay the store a visit just to admire the primwork which is set on display for your convenience. Alternatively, I’m happy to model: make me an offer I can’t refuse.
Hera (Snowfall): $800L ; Thekla (Moss): $1000L (or four colours for $2000L)
The Silk Raven’s Romance from Solange
I read the posts by Arabeth and Celebrity with their silks and feel proud of myself, what with the fact that I have something for show and tell and no one even told me it’s silks week. And let me tell you this is one mighty fine set of silks too. The moaning coming from the computer room last night at Fannie’s house was just me getting my silk on.
This is a new line of silks from Solange’s Gor and Fantasy branch, The Silk Raven, and it’s called Romance. It’s as scrumptous as it looks in the pictures. The set is L$ 600 for the silks and L$ 250 for the veil. I can’t rave about this enough. The set comes in six colors that are trimmed in silver and six other colors that are trimmed in gold. Same with the matching veil. The color I’m wearing is Fuschia and even though I have other stuff to review, it’s gonna have to wait because I look so good this is staying on a while.
The textures are too much to believe on this, both in the opaque and the sheer silk parts. It looks like real silk. The fine details in the prim attachments is unbelievable. The arm ruffles, pearl necklace and pearl belt, the hip drape, and thighband; all that stuff comes with this and sets this outfit apart. You get choice too, there’s sheer versions of the top and panties, and a couple of versions of the silk itself. For accessories you get the necklace, two pearl belts to choose from and a silk drape also. I love the veil too. It’s an extra purchase but well worth it.
Thank you Solange, you’ve made me the sexiest girl in the harem again.
Analise and Adam ‘n’ Eve silks
Maybe it’s a little too close to Arabeth’s Nubian Angel post to go with another round of silks, but I couldn’t think of a better way to inaugerate my first “real” post here at Sexy Second without sharing Analise and Adam-n-Eve with you all.
All of these outfits were photographed in the Samarkand sim.

On the left is the Kimara silk — brand new — by Talyn Barrett. Analise and Solange are probably the two top silk creators in Second Life. Both of them share exquisite attention to detail, and just jaw-droppingly good textures. I love the slightly more modest belly-dance inspired top here and the detailing trim on these silk skirts are just to die for.
On the right is Entwined. It’s categorized as a silk, but it could probably pull off a moonlight job as a very slinky sexy formal dress. Like everything else Analise releases it has stunning attention to detail, especially in the alpha texturing holes along the hemline of the skirts and the flexi sleeve attachments. One thing I’ll never get tired of in Second Life is the absolutely stunning gravity defying clothing.

On the left I’m modeling Lilith Rising — another more Middle Easter/bellydance inspired look. It’s not quite as Gor-fashion driven as most silk designs and with the right Bellydance AO (available from Nephilaine Protagonist or Sparkle Skye) you could really amuse your friends and delight your Gor-master, if you’re into that sort of thing.
The final silk here is the first new silk design by sachi Vixen of Adam ‘n’ Eve in quite a while. It’s named “Adorned” for obvious reasons. It comes packaged with the harem pants as shown, or with a very flouncy transparent skirt option. I couldn’t stop loving the gold fabric contrasted with the gems. I kept searching through my inventory for the right veil to match this set.
Analise is located on Talana (130, 131, 25). Adam ‘n’ Eve is located at Genesis (28, 151, 23)
Nubian Angel
I know I’ve reviewed a lot of silks lately, but you can’t deny you’ve been spoilt with quality and variety. I assure you that these offerings from Nubian Angel are among the finest that have graced my skin.
The Sorceress set will have you reaching for your trusty quarterstaff immediately: you’ll be using it to fend off the torrents of admirers or would-be captors, depending on exactly where you decide to flaunt your body. The delicate top seems to just be holding together: it’s detailed enough to give great shape but does not draw attention to itself and away from the crux of this outfit. That’s good design. The tantalising skirt is unusual in its composition, with a long open front that
shortens to the back. I was stood still for a long time just admiring the belt clasps and other adornments: the way everything is pieced together gives an added realism to this set, making the swaying and swishing of the material about your hips all the more satisfying.
Surprisingly, the finishing touch for me was the tattoo. I’m not normally a great one for body paint, but this really lends something to the art of the piece. A glimpse of the pattern beneath the sheer skirt panels contrasts with the stronger impressions elsewhere on the skin. It gives an illusion of added coverage and interest that brings the whole thing to life.
Hiri Nurmi’s latest release is the Ankh set. This is entirely prim based and took a little adjusting to get the fit right on me (ok, I missed with the belly chain, forgive my impatience) but I was really pleased once it was sitting correctly. Being honest, I’m not entirely sure I’m wearing the bra exactly as it was intended, but I don’t think anyone would argue that my take doesn’t look supremely sexy. I would venture so far as to say that these silks are even more detailed than the first: intricate drapes and carefully crafted ties suggest this is something that took time and patience to put on: of course it won’t be quite as difficult to remove again. The belt is composed of cords tied to single ring links, centring on the nether regions which are festooned in hanging cord and crested with the namesake symbol. Interestingly, it is scripted so that the Ankh can be hidden if you so wish. The skirt on this flares at a stand, framing your lower limbs with dramatic effect.
Ankh comes in a small and normal size which is handy, although all the items are copy/mod so can be adjusted to fit your unique shape. The main prims in each outfit are sculpties which makes them more easily adjustable and has the bonus of making causing less of a lag-fest than you may anticipate. All the silks come complete with a detailed instruction note to aid in resizing, but if you’re totally stuck you can send out a copy of your shape and Hiri will do the work for you for a fee: I would suggest dropping her a card if you’re struggling.
Hiri specialises in prim design, and it certainly shows in these outfits. If you’re tempted by these, or even just curious, do visit her beautiful shop and take a look at the displays to get an ever better idea of the work.

Dark Eden
Speechless is not a state I am used to being in. I am dislike using acronyms, but in this instance one sprung to mind and it was apt in a way I had previously thought impossible.
OMFG
I was handed this incredible piece of prim art and I just had to write all about it. It is dark, twisted and so insanely glorious that I am biting down on my clenched fist to contain my cries of ecstasy. Inworld design at its finest, I give you the The Medb set from Dark Eden.
See those primmy ‘things’ all over my body? They are pretty little fairies, chained and bound for your own personal amusement. And I am amused. Every time those translucent wings flutter, the corners of my mouth rise in fiendish delight. I am a base creature, ’tis true, but Etain Peregrine appreciates my warped little mind and feeds it just what it needs.
Pictures can’t do this justice. They just can’t. I could fiddle with my graphics settings until the cows come home, you still will not be able to appreciate this fully until it is coiled around your own limbs. Fortunately there are demos available in store, so you can put this to the test before laying your cash on the line. Still, a mega set with all the pieces will put you back just $350L - if you buy bits separately it works out more expensive, but if you just want a fairy to dangle from your neck then the separate buys would cater for these lesser cravings.
Dark Eden also sell free roaming fairies for $100L per set. They’ll sit brooding on your head or on your shoulder and do make an unusual accessory. I prefer the meddling midgets bound and gagged, but each to her own.
Devil Made Me Do It (DMMDI)
The blame game works for me, but I’ve never yet used a fallen angel as my scapegoat for any of my misdeeds. Still, Charissa Korvin’s choice of name leaves you under the impression that you’re in for a rather unique ride. Strap yourselves in tight or you might just get bucked off a little further down the trail.
The Chained Seduction Set does exactly what it says on the tin. If you put this outfit on, you’re making a loud and clear statement, so you’d best have every intention of carrying it through.
It’s a bold set that would probably be labelled as ’silks’ although this is a darn sight more serious than the usual floaty fare. Chains drape down at the front of the panties (which conveniently come in three sizes) and this design aspect is mirrored all over the outfit. There’s a beautiful chunky buckle collar, matching arm and wrist cuffs, and of course the nipple covers/chains which again come in three sizes to suit.
To finish it all off beautifully, you also get the Caligae Infernis boots which are actually a very simple design idea that works wonderfully well, especially paired with this set.
My favourite feature of this set is that it is completely Lockmeister compatible - not that a girl like me would know anything about bondage furniture or how irritating it is having to ask your significant other to hang on just a moment while you slip into the correct restraints. If that doesn’t send you running screaming to buy this in all 12 colours then I don’t know what will.
If you’ve never visited DMMDI then you are missing out on some unique and incredibly sexy SL design. Get your rear in gear and ‘port on down!
Chained Seduction Set: $400L ; Fat pack (12 Colours): $4000L
Boots and nipple chains come as part of this set or can also be bought separately in store.
Kadin from Solange!
One of the sexiest sets of silks out there is Kadin from Solange! Fashions . At L$750 for the set it might seem pricey for silks but the many many options in the set make this a steal, especially considering the quality of Solange Cerveau’s work. Several prim skirts, sashes and even harem pants with optional prim leggings allow you to make several looks, all of them sexy. Kadin comes in six colors, but, beware, each color has been wonderfully accented by gold or silver, so with 12 versions of this delicious set available, if you’re like me you’ll spend a LOT of time figuring out which ones you’ll buy. I highly recommend the veil and jewelry accessory at L$350. The jewelry is exquisite and can stand on its own and the veil is to die for. If you don’t want to be barefoot and have no good slippers, there are sets of matching harem slippers for L$250. Take a look, you’ll love Kadin.
