RFL- Tuli and Muse
I got this the other day but didn’t get a chance to look at it until just now. What a great great set, from Tuli with jewelry from Muse!
You get the cute dress with two skirts, bracelets, headband, shoes and the lariat necklace from Muse.(And I just this minute realized there’s a prim belt in there I’m not wearing in the picture, but just looked at onscreen and love).
Deep rich color and nice paisley print accents make this something that I’d wear whether it supports the American Cancer Society or not. Take the fact that the jewelry and wedges are worthy of mixing and matching with other things and this is a wonderful deal from two great designers, Tuli Asturias of Tuli and Caliah Lyon of Muse.
The whole thing is only L$450.
In case you missed it, the RFL motorcycle I blogged the other day has a home again, try here
RFL- Getcha motah runnin with the RFL Chopper!
Tonight I did a little Relay For Life shopping and latched onto the pink chopper at Krasa’s Korner in Ray. I’m not a motorcycle person but it caught my eye and it’s for a good cause so…. The maker of the bike is Draxxe Slade of Loco Lobo Custom Cycles, and I absolutely think it’s brilliant.
I wasn’t sure if I would ever use the thing beyond an initial inspection to be honest, but I brought it home, opened it and I love it. It seemed a bit complicated until i RTFM, after which I was careening around sims and learning to control it. Fire spits out the tail pipes as you ride and the sound is like a big old motorcycle rumbling away. As if that’s not enough, the pink tee I’m wearing in the picture comes with it too. This is one of my favorite RFL purchases in a long time, and at L$500 it’s a lot of fun and a couple of dollars for a good cause. Here’s that link again Krasa’s Korner in Ray. Enjoy and always wear a helmet on these things irl!
RFL Posts- SLippery Skins
I thought I might get out and look at some of the goodies that are available through Relay for Life, and just as I was browsing through the list over at Relay for Life of Second Life and wondering where I’d begin, Joan Philbin of SLippery Im’d me to tell me about a sale her shop is having.
Lo and behold, SLippery also has RFL skins she’s selling, a pack of 3 for L$500. The skins are very tan, one has a tanline ribbon on the hip, the other two vary in only the pubes. The make-up is only available through this year’s RFL offer and won’t be available in this tone again. Click on the pic to see Jaime in her alltogether. I do absolutely adore the pubes on SLippery’s skins.
SLippery is having a two for one sale this weekend- buy at least two skins and and she’ll refund the price of half of what you buy. While you’re there, pick up some of the RFL skins, which are not included in the sale, but are well worth having. Apparently SLippery is hard to find in search, so here’s another link.
Charitable and Fashionable
I felt this was worth an extra blog today, so I apologise to anyone who is already suffering from an overdose of me and is now being rushed into hospital to get an eye transplant. (Blame the designers, their fault for making so much great stuff!)
Nyte ‘N’ Day have lately been blogged a lot: Nyte Caligari makes fantastic clothes, but was also one of the first to come out with a script that makes prim skirts sit better when walking/sitting/standing in a generic pose. This version is called SensiDress and is now a feature in all new Nyte n Day clothes, and ultimately will be rolled out to the older releases too.
But I’m not going to go into too much detail about SensiDress: I wanted to show you this instead.
Yes, it’s another great design from Nyte ‘N’ Day. But there’s a little more to it. Nyte Caligari suffers from an autoimmune disease called Lupus. It’s pretty nasty; my understanding is that the body begins to attack its own cells, causing inflammation, possible organ damage, and of course leaves the sufferer in a lot of pain. There’s no cure for Lupus but it can be kept under control in most cases with various treatments.
All sales of this dress and any future purple releases from Nyte ‘N’ Day will see 100% of profits going to Lupus Canada to help their work in improving the lives of anyone with the disease, and raising general awareness.
It’s only $195L and I’m sure you’ll agree it’s pretty sexy. Hop down to Nyte ‘N’ Day now and keep the landmark in your favourites for future reference to help make a difference in the real world.
Pink for Life
I got an e-mail about the Pink for Life project that ConceptSL, a French company, is participating in. Teaming up with the RL Gustave Roussy Institute, they plan to merge SL and RL fashion to raise some money for Breast Cancer Research. In real life, the works of French Designers will be exhibited on October 9th and 10th and then the items will be auctioned off. In SL, they want to do the same thing from October 1st -10th, then sell the items on eBay!
They are looking for designers willing to donate items. They will accept clothes, accessories, furniture and “other” items. The only stipulation is that it has to be Pink!
To contribute, send a picture of your item to fashion@conceptsl.com. If you’re selected they will contact you. The in-world contact is Yogi Huldschinsky, and there is more info on their website at http://www.conceptsl.com/igr.php.
