*RunoRuno*
My friend and mall manager extraordinaire Auburn Heron was kind enough to point me in the direction of a new and very talented designer named Jojorunoo Runo of “RunoRuno” after I admired a skirt she was wearing. So, Aubi kindly gave me an LM to her shop on the Moonlight Requiem sim to check it out. The items in the shop are sparse with only a few items, but I found what I wanted; an adorable little black flexi knit skirt and sweater. Believe it or not, at the moment, Jojorunoo had these two items up for sale 0 lindens! Yep, that’s what I said. I had my hubby IM Jojorunoo to ask if there was some mistake! She said there was no mistake, so I would recommend you rush to this store and pick them up while you can! I would EASILY pay a couple hundred for this outfit as it’s so beautifully made and textured.
With the outfit, I paired it with “MIRA Sunglasses” from Solar Designer Eyewear. These are a fave pair of glasses of mine. They include a wonderful scripted feature where you can adjust the fit simply by clicking some buttons. They also have tintable frames in different colours and frame styles.
The shoes are Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes Slingback Stilettos in “Dalmation”. You can pick these puppies up at at Basevi Moda Mainstore in Templegreen. Sorry, I couldn’t resist the pun there.
Freda’s Fine Fashion and Basevi Moda
The lovely and talented Freda Fredriksson, fresh from her recent InStyle graduates’ fashion show, was kind enough to send me a dress I saw in her shop that I just had to have! It’s a fantastic knitted dress with chiffon skirt shown in red in the picture. The knit texture is very realistic and appears to hug your body and complements the opaque chiffon textured flexi prim scripted skirt perfectly. The back is the real show stopper though, laced up from neck to waist. Included with the dress is a variation of the top which is a very sheer cropped halter which you can wear with the spaghetti strap top or alone if you’re feeling very daring. This is dress is simply yummy! You can find this dress in a choice of delicious colours at Freda’s Fine Fashion main store or at Stella’s Mall on Stella Isle.
I’ve paired this fabulous dress with Stiletto Slingbacks in Dove from Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes. It’s no secret that I adore Lara Basevi’s shoes and her latest line of slingbacks is a staple in my wardrobe. They are finely detailed and beautifully textured. She has a wide variety of styles that you will always find what you’re looking for. Find these and more at her main shop in Templegreen or at at Stella’s Mall on Stella Isle.
In League
I found a “new to me” store called League recently so I bought an outfit to take a look. I loved it! Nothing gets me more hyped up then finding a store I hadn’t heard of and finding some treasures! I chose this minidress called “Scoop” in taupe. It has a fabulous sculptie prim for the draped neckline and even has two choices of sculptie prim in single or double drape. Very clever! The texturing of the dress itself is great too. It looks very slinky and clingy. The top of this dress would look great with a pair of jeans too. I checked out the rest of the store and it’s very well laid out and the presentation of the products is great! I think now that I’ve found this store, I’ll be seeing and hearing a lot more about it. I picked up a very cool black minidress there that I have a feeling I will be blogging about in the very near future!
I wore this dress with a pair of new Stiletto Slingbacks by Basevi Moda in alligator skin. I love the little gold detailing at the heel and toe. You can find them at the Basevi Moda Mainstore location in Templegreen or at Stella’s Mall on Stella Isle. They are available in tons of colours so you’ll not have a problem matching your favourite outfit.
Fine Blue Heaven
Today was the day that I felt inspired to do some photos and what better way to spend the day than trying on all your new shoes and undies. Lara Basevi from Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes dropped on me two very full folders of new shoes she created and boy oh boy what a treat. Lara has become one of my very favourite shoe designers because her shoes are so versatile. They include a bling on and off option and she includes a sexy walk with every pair of shoes. What luck I had when I found her Blue and Silver leather stiletto pumps matched a lingerie set from Reasonable Desires called Blue Fine Lined lingerie perfectly! I just love the way Austie Pegler and Martini Joliat pay attention to every single detail of the garments they create. The lace detailing is perfect and I love the opacity of the stockings they include. Even the little clasps on the garters are perfect. Both items are very well priced so you won’t break the bank to look stunning.
CREATiVE DECADENCE
I like finding new places. New places that sell nice things are especially fun. New places that sell nice boots make me fall to my knees in a state of demented worship.
CREATiVE DECADENCE isn’t entirely new to me: I reviewed some boots from this store a while back on my personal blog* and have to say that Metal Gynoid’s skill has significantly improved since. Not that there’s anything wrong with my Slick ‘N’ Wickeds, but for something a little more detailed and adventurous, the newest additions really have to be considered.
The Dragonblade Thigh High boots cater entirely for your inner dom. The thigh highs sit on a slight platform base, with relatively low spike heel.
Steel banding secures the foot above the rounded toe and in front of the heel, with buckled straps loose to the ankle and binding the upper and lower legs. Lightly curved spikes protrude on either side to ensure everyone keeps a healthy distance. Centred at the front on a layered lunette, strutted and spiked to the sides, there are dragon-head medallions to provide a focal point. To finish, you’ll find a pair of matching daggers sheathed to the side of the upper thigh, the hilt of each adorned with a meshwork of metal, melding into the guard which is neatly inlaid with a blue gemstone.
The boots come complete with hand daggers in the same style for all your sadistic pleasures: scripting on the boots allows for you to draw your blades, with appropriate pose. Very smooth.
Metal also sent me a sneak preview for a flat version of this style: they include some very clever scripting that allows for release of a toe-spike on a voice command, plus an armoured/no armoured option to the front of the boot. This feature kept me amused for many minutes: eventually I thought I’d show off, and pulled on a leather catsuit to hit the streets. Of course, I got an ample number of “Hey Sexy” IMs to indicate that these are indeed as attention grabbing as I had predicted.
It isn’t just boots that make a girl happy: futuristic armour which offers little more body coverage than your average fig leaf also does it for me. Enter then Battlequeen Armour, the answer to my naughty prayers.
I adore this. I love the way it works around my curves, amplifying, propping and generally promoting in all the right places. Its gentle arcs are extremely complimentary, contrasting with the spiked ends that lay in almost antler formation to the front, with side talons that bend inward as though to kiss the skin. If that wasn’t enough to keep your admirers completely occupied, a disk of red light moves in mesmeric circles to the front: you’ll really have to excuse anyone who has a conversation with your chest, as with this for an excuse they simply won’t be able to help themselves.
The lower coverage really isn’t very modest, but it keeps well with the tone; jutting spear heads flank the triangular kitty-keeper, with side bands curving gently to an onyx cabochon at the rear, and dropping to… well, your naked backside, as it happens. I’m sure no one in the vicinity will be complaining: just stay away from those PG sims.
(Shoes are available separately from the talented Storm Schmooz.)
If you fancy yourself a little piece of CREATiVE DECADENCE, you can pick up the boots for $525L and the armour set for a reasonable $475L. There’s more in store, so get yourself over there and have a good look around.

Platforms from Kitties Lair
Babette Ultsch of Kitties Lair may have had the best timing of anyone in Second Life in terms of getting a release blogged quickly. I was just looking for a pair of shoes to put on to go check some stores when she dropped her newest release on me. I loved them so much here they are. They are called Kiss and they are funky fun sculpty platforms in 10 different colors. They come with the walking sounds built in, but it’s done with a script that brings up an easily adjusted selection of menu items. You can adjust the volume of the walking sound (and yes, “off” is an option!) and speaking of good timing, you can also adjust the tempo of the sound to mesh with your stride, should you be using the standard “duck” walk or the SL Sexy Walk. Kiss, L$380 from Kitties Lair, shoes with great timing!
Seriously Sexy
Sometimes an outfit just shrieks sexy, and the outfit Indyra Seigo gave me to review simply does. Named Dominate 2.0, this Indyra Original outfit is fairly simple and comprised of stockings, an undershirt and underpants, and two prim strings. However it takes simple to a new level with the saucy see through bodice and sheer pants, with the bows strategically placed on either side. Dominate 2.0 sells for L$250 and comes only in basic black.
Coupled with this simple outfit are some seriously sensual boots Indyra calls Coquette Noir: DV-8. They are sold in 6 colors Black, Pink, White and Blue patent leather and White and Red hot which are their respective colors with Black soles. Priced at L$550 I would run not walk for these boots.
These boots are some serious sexy and added to the sultry outfit, it becomes a dynamic duo.
Biddles Boots
Looking for some boots that are new and unique? Try Biddles Boots, a new shop by Valentine Biddle. The boots I tried are called Onice. The heel is thick and substantial looking and the big silver studs that adorn the crushed suede finish give the boot’s design a solid feel, possibly quite like the Harley you rode to the club on. At L$599, these boots left the bargain park, but a quick swing around Biddles store shows some other nice designs that are a bit cheaper and still stylish. I look forward to more designs from Valentine, as these certainly are a hit with me. Now, where did I park that Harley?
Boots and Bargains from Dark Eden
![]()
I realized the flaw in my plan as soon as I hit “publish”. I had intended to blog a few things from my wonderful pile of Dark Eden things and then a few more and then a few more because it’s getting late here in Fannie land and if I don’t get my sleeps I’s a cranky girly. As soon as I hit publish on that first post, it occurred to me that I should probably blog the rest of it or you’ll either go to Dark Eden and see all the cool things there, making my blog posts worthless, or you’ll go to Dark Eden and only look for Erebus and be mad that I didn’t tell you all the great things to look for! Either way, Fannie doesn’t look good, so I’m burning some midnight oil to get some of this sexy goodness on the web for you.
First of all, let’s talk boots, because Dark Eden has them and they are magnificent.
Above you see the queen of the Dark Eden line of boots, Tanith. It comes in two styles, one with the engraved metal buckles and one without. Each style comes in 7 colors and each color is L$200. You can get all of the colors in a fatpack for only L$800. To the left is a great boot, Thetis, which also comes in seven colors and is L$150 a color (or the whole set for L$600). Thetis also has a set of matching strappy “gloves” which are more like prim leather bands and straps that are highly recommended for just L$25 a color. This is one of the reasons I so love Dark Eden. It’s good stuff and it’s a bargain- imagine eight pairs of these elegant and stylish babies for only L$600!
Speaking of sexy fun and bargains at the same time, I didn’t get a picture of them, but if you’re a fan of BDSM things, Dark Eden sells a multi piece all prim rope outfit called Shibari. It’s as if you’re wearing a nylon rope (in any of five colors) for just L$250. Take a look at their display of leather harnesses also, all prim and top quality.

If you’re looking for something a little less fetish and a little more mainstream, take a look at the incredible deal that is the Nu Kua skirt outfit at left. It’s just L$50. That’s not a typo, L$50. It includes two arm bands, a choker, two thigh garters, two types of shoe, the top on undershirt, shirt and jacket layer and two sizes of the skirt, which has an adorable fringe hem I might add. If L$50 is too much for your budget, the pieces are sold individually as well she said, her tongue firmly in her cheek. (But actually, the pieces really ARE sold individually, so if you want a killer garter and nothing else, go to dark Eden and pick it up for just L$15). Nu Kua comes in a choice of 7 colors.
While you probably don’t think of Dark Eden as a place for jewelry, do take a look at their “Chants” which are complex arm, wrist and ankle coin bangles. You have the choice of Gold, Silver or Black Iron. I got the latter and am quite taken with it. For L$200 it’s a good deal for a very well made distinctive piece of prim jewelry. You'’ll find them on the second floor, but they are most easily seen by standing on the first floor near the Tanith boots and using your camera to go straight up.
Finally, to the left here is the dark Eden Cephalopod silk in Obsidian. The silks are all prim, and include several pieces of gorgeous prim metal work to complement the silks. They come in your choice of obsidian or silver, and the whole set is only L$250. I found the fit to be funny until I realized that they are meant to hang on your hip, not tie around your waist. Once I figured that out I was good to go and they nearly fit my avatar out of the box. There are two sizes of everything complicated in the folder for even more ease of use.
Well dear readers, that is my pile of wonderful things from Dark Eden. I was only familiar with the place in passing until the last week or so and I’ve really come to be a fan. God quality, imaginative and very sexy merchandise for a very reasonable price. Sounds good to me and I hope it does to you as well.
Deeper into the Kitties Lair
I just logged in to publish and found I’d been beaten to the post by Fannie: but since I’d already done my write-up and none of the items we reviewed were the same (phew) I didn’t think this would bore you too much…!
***
Babette Ultsch of Kitties Lair sent me a couple of items for review, both of which I am very excited about.
I have to start with the boots – purely because I can’t contain myself, and if I don’t rave wildly about them now then I might explode under the pressure. These are Venice boots in Worn Brown, and to my mind they are wearable works of art. The stacked wooden heel is capped in black, and set on an undersole in light tan, detailed with a central stripe and dark tip beneath the toe. The boots are rounded, double banded and buckled around the ankle, and rising into a slouched leg with central panel detail. Downturned cuffs split to the top, curving to an opening at the back which is filled with a floppy leather bow; they sit below the knee, possibly lower if you have legs that stretch to the heavens.
The boots are supplied with a larger calf size for those who are better fed than I am, and there are several other colours available in store. Currently you cannot turn the bling off, but having spoken to Babette she is working on a release in the near future that will allow for this, as well as a dialogue option to change the trim colour. For anyone who knows a little about modding scripts (well, deleting them), the script is hidden in the trim parts, so you can effectively wipe the bling yourself if you don’t like it as the boots are copy/mod.
Kitties Lair also stocks outfits, and ‘Tiffany’ really caught my eye. You can never have too many little black cocktail dresses (and I will continue to argue that point with my therapist), and this one immediately grabs attention as you float by. Tiffany has a daring plunge neckline, broken by two buckles that join across the torso, combining sheer mesh side panels with the opaque surrounds. The back is crossed and then lies open to the lower back, with a single thread across the spine.
The underskirt sweeps in an unusual cut, a slanted mini to the front with a longer length behind. This is overlaid with layered mesh hung at different lengths, short and choppy at the front with a longer more even line to the rear. This is creative and distinctive, giving this little black dress an edge that I am very fond of.
The black areas are very matt, and on my avatar there was a small seaming issue where the top and bottom join (you can just see flesh peek through) although I tried a couple of other shapes on to varying effect. You may not notice this at all, or you may simply find it a negligible flaw. It certainly wasn’t enough to put me off. The dress also comes with drop diamond earrings with bling – I don’t like super sparklies on my person, but if this is your thing then it’s a nice extra with the set.
Kitties Lair has plenty more to sate your clothing desires, so take a wander down and see for yourself.
Venice (Worn Brown), $480L ; Cocktail Dress Tiffany Black, $280L
