Silent Sparrow

131007unseelie.jpgYou don’t have to make a song and dance to advertise something this nice as I am sure Hyasynth Tiramisu of Silent Sparrow is very much aware. Still I’m sure she won’t mind if I sing praises in regard of a new release called ‘Unseelie’, created as a collaberation with Calico Creations.

Designed as a fantasy piece (the name would suggest the guise of a malicious fae), there are two horn twisted horn attachments in the set; do crown yourself with these, they go so well! You may be pleasantly surprised by the fluttering wings: they are beautifully designed with an extensive eddying pattern that is echoed throughout this set. The wings are HUD driven and flutter just a little as you float around the metaverse: I’m really not a wings person, but these charmed me in minutes.

131007unseelieback.jpgThe bodice is lovingly crafted with drawn on bow detail to frame the swirling chest panel. It’s buckled to the rear with circular clasps, making a fabulous piece of lingerie when teamed with the well-drawn panties and stockings seen here. There is also a pair of breeches included which I thought were quite charming, giving you yet another option when creating your own take on this piece.

If you wanted to try this as formal wear, you can remove the more fantastical elements and don skirts to create a very fetching gown. The overskirt curves a little unusually to give this an original slant, while the system skirt is cut well at the hem with an interesting ragged line, although this is best seen without the prim attachment.

131007unseeliealternative.jpgThe choicest part of this outfit though is the collar, made by Calico Ingmann, which I would love to see released as a separate piece. It’s an elegant design with patterned backing and a buckled effect matching the back of the corset, punctuated with a tiny satin bow. There’s also a ribboned bow to the back of the neck which demands attention: I admit to spending rather a lot of time admiring my neck in close-up when I donned this. I can think of a dozen outfits this would match, although of course it sets off Unseelie just perfectly.

If you’re looking for an outfit with something extra then I doubt you’ll be disappointed by this. It’s well made and not unfairly priced with twelve pieces (not the shoes) at $600L.

Dark Eden

Speechless is not a state I am used to being in. I am dislike using acronyms, but in this instance one sprung to mind and it was apt in a way I had previously thought impossible.

OMFG

I was handed this incredible piece of prim art and I just had to write all about it. It is dark, twisted and so insanely glorious that I am biting down on my clenched fist to contain my cries of ecstasy. Inworld design at its finest, I give you the The Medb set from Dark Eden.

MedB SetSee those primmy ‘things’ all over my body? They are pretty little fairies, chained and bound for your own personal amusement. And I am amused. Every time those translucent wings flutter, the corners of my mouth rise in fiendish delight. I am a base creature, ’tis true, but Etain Peregrine appreciates my warped little mind and feeds it just what it needs.

MedB DetailPictures can’t do this justice. They just can’t. I could fiddle with my graphics settings until the cows come home, you still will not be able to appreciate this fully until it is coiled around your own limbs. Fortunately there are demos available in store, so you can put this to the test before laying your cash on the line. Still, a mega set with all the pieces will put you back just $350L - if you buy bits separately it works out more expensive, but if you just want a fairy to dangle from your neck then the separate buys would cater for these lesser cravings.

Dark Eden also sell free roaming fairies for $100L per set. They’ll sit brooding on your head or on your shoulder and do make an unusual accessory. I prefer the meddling midgets bound and gagged, but each to her own.

Devil Made Me Do It (DMMDI)

The blame game works for me, but I’ve never yet used a fallen angel as my scapegoat for any of my misdeeds. Still, Charissa Korvin’s choice of name leaves you under the impression that you’re in for a rather unique ride. Strap yourselves in tight or you might just get bucked off a little further down the trail.

Chained SeductionThe Chained Seduction Set does exactly what it says on the tin. If you put this outfit on, you’re making a loud and clear statement, so you’d best have every intention of carrying it through.

It’s a bold set that would probably be labelled as ’silks’ although this is a darn sight more serious than the usual floaty fare. Chains drape down at the front of the panties (which conveniently come in three sizes) and this design aspect is mirrored all over the outfit. There’s a beautiful chunky buckle collar, matching arm and wrist cuffs, and of course the nipple covers/chains which again come in three sizes to suit. Infernis BootsTo finish it all off beautifully, you also get the Caligae Infernis boots which are actually a very simple design idea that works wonderfully well, especially paired with this set.

My favourite feature of this set is that it is completely Lockmeister compatible - not that a girl like me would know anything about bondage furniture or how irritating it is having to ask your significant other to hang on just a moment while you slip into the correct restraints. If that doesn’t send you running screaming to buy this in all 12 colours then I don’t know what will.

If you’ve never visited DMMDI then you are missing out on some unique and incredibly sexy SL design. Get your rear in gear and ‘port on down!

Chained Seduction Set: $400L ; Fat pack (12 Colours): $4000L

Boots and nipple chains come as part of this set or can also be bought separately in store.

DE Designs

DoC Eldritch is something of a legend as far as I’m concerned. The moment you walk into DE Designs you are surrounded by unique and supremely sexy outfits: I can warn you now that your virtual credit card will take a hammering.

Lucidity‘Lucidity’ is a beautiful open dress, complete with immaculately detailed gloves and a pair of knee highs to dress up your legs. It comes with two tops, one with and one without necklace (with shown here), so you can apply your own jewellery if you prefer. The bodice is beautifully detailed, and cut to lead a less discerning eye right to your assets. The skirt moves nicely and looks especially good from the rear, so you can admire yourself while you’re wandering from sim to sim without having to adjust the cameras. Divine.

EternityAn extraordinary design comes by way of ‘Eternity’. On the basic layers you have a fabulous shorts outfit; the shoes are not included, but any pair of basic black heels will go great with the thigh-highs which are supplied. But it gets better. The cloak in the set comes with a completely over-the-top collar that I can’t get enough of. You won’t fully appreciate its funky fabulousness until you see the sculptie neckline in the flesh; and while it’s completely apt to pair with any other outfit you own, you can’t deny that the whole set looks great on.

Eternity (Detail)Here’s a close up for you to give you a better idea of the work that’s gone into this. The shading is expertly handled to give you great shape with every crease in the material being given careful consideration. I also have to pick up on the prim puff sleeves which give your arms enough oomph to carry the rest of the outfit, balancing it perfectly.

I’m currently taking suggestions on where I can role play in this outfit. I want an excuse to bring it out as often as possible!

Lucidity: $575 ; Eternity: $475 ; Looking this hot: Priceless

Zipz

I am on fire and Zipz struck the match.

Ash in RedThis outfit is an absolute knock-out. If it was real, I’d have bought two of them and vacuum sealed the second to ensure that when the first one had started to show signs of age, I had another in reserve. I might even have bought three to be safe: that way I’d also have a spare for washing day. Yes, I love it that much.

Ash (detail)‘Ash’ is jaw-droppingly beautiful in every aspect of its design. Each angle brings a new delight; the shapes and the swirls capturing the onlooker in a hypnotic trance. The outfit is so neatly drawn that you won’t find a thread out of place: I can zoom right in on my arse and there’s not the slightest glitch: which means anyone ELSE zooming in on my arse can ogle and coo without the slightest distraction from inner-leg smear.

Ash (back)The set comes with 7 pieces (with the bottoms on two layers) and can be worn as a cat suit, a body, or with a dinky little prim skirt… may I recommend some thigh-high boots with that? No shoes/boots included, but you must have something in your inventory that will do this justice!

I could stop there, but I also thought I’d share another work of art with you. ‘Fire Dragon’ is a scrumptious marriage of cloth and Fire Dragonmetal, featuring a twin dragon design on the bodice. It’s well cut and opens up in all the right places to ensure you show off enough skin to keep everyone interested. Again the box contains the outfit on several layers with similar options to the above, so you can play around and style to suit you. There is a long flexi-skirt included with this one, but I like showing off my legs too much to put it on, however gorgeous the texturing is. Shame on me.

Finally: the price. Ash in red will set you back a mere $239L and Fire Dragon $269L. And it being Tuesday… you know where to spend your $300L this week, ladies!

How much do I adore Zipz? This much: *extends arms out as far as they will stretch, holding meter rules in her fingertips*. And then some.

The Delights of Port Seraphine

Nephilaine Protagonist is such a prolific designer that I was slightly dismayed when I first heard that Pixeldolls would be ‘put on a diet’ - however I can quite understand why she is streamlining her collections to a smaller and more manageable boutique. Still, as long as she continues designing, I will manage to sate my lust.

ChosenThere are (literally) a hundred outfits I could review, but ‘Chosen’ at ‘Seraphine Combat’ picked me. Sexy with attitude, wordlessly warning the world that you’re a confident kick-ass bitch: “You know you want my body, but touch me and I’ll probably break your hand.”

Chosen (2)I’m not usually wild about system skirts, but this one is beautifully textured and doesn’t give me a butt-ledge you could serve drinks from. The side slits show off your pins beautifully, accentuated with strappy seams and the luscious net thigh-highs. If you don’t like the skirt, it can come off to create a flattering bodysuit… but the skirt and I enjoy each others’ company. The boots that come with the outfit may not be quite to your taste, but can easily be exchanged for your favourite shoes. To be honest though, I wouldn’t bother, who exactly is going to be looking at your feet?

Escape! If you’re more submissive by nature, then perhaps the finery of ‘Triple Threat: Escape!’ from ‘The New Zero’ is more your style. Seen here in black, the outfit makes you feel instantly desirable, baring just the right amount of flesh. The skirt is subtly detailed so as not to detract from the skin beneath, but of course you can go all out and rip it off to reveal the pretty panties.

Escape! DetailI love the drawn belt and the silver detail on the bra cups, but the prim accessories that come with this give the outfit its character. The broken chain design makes this perfect for roleplay: any slave who fancies their chances in the wilds of Gor or indeed any masochists wishing to invoke the wrath of their keeper should try this on for size.

Minor quibble: the seam on the left side of the panties doesn’t quite match up. It’s not something I really noticed with the whole set on, but it is a little more obvious when wearing as a bra and knickers combo.

Chosen will set you back $350L and Triple Threat: Escape! is $600L per colour. If you can’t decide, then you can purchase all twelve flavours for a massively discounted price of $3600L.

Wander down to Port Seraphine and have a good look around. There are lots of different shops to suit every taste and indeed most price ranges. There is so much to see, you won’t know what to buy first!

Chaospire - I’m in LOVE!!

WoodnymphIf you’ve never been to Chaospire, you simply must check it out.   I fell in love with absolutely everything there, and I can’t wait to add to my collection!    Devyn Grimm is a fantastic designer, and the texturing and realism is amazing.   All of Devyn’s designs are made from scratch and hand-painted!  Talk about talent!!!

Since I simply can’t decide to review everything in one single blog, I’ll narrow it down to two of my favorites.

WoodnymphMy first design to highlight is the Woodnymph Fantasy Outfit.  Oh my goodness, this is downright sexy!  This outfit comes in 7 pieces - A bra, corset, Gloves, Leggings, Panties, a flexi left skirt, and flexi armbands.   The realism is amazing, and did I mention how sexy this is?  It shows you off in all the right places, while leaving just enough to the imagination to drive people wild!   This outfit is priced at a modest $800L, a real steal given the expertise of Devyn Grimm’s texturing/painting abilities.

Chaospire - SuccubusNext by Devyn, we have the Succubus Fantasy outfit.  This is a 6 piece outfit, including a bra, underbust corset, panties, leggings, gloves, and a set of horns for all of you devils out there (myself included!).  The texturing is a gorgeous black and red leather and the corset, bra and panties are finely detailed with chains!  The bra is beautifully sexy in a sheer black.   Another bonus?  The bra and panties come in 2 layers so you can keep your tattoos!  How thoughtful is Devyn?  Muahs!

This is the perfect outfit for all of you femme fatales out there.. I highly recommend this!  This outfit is also very nicely priced at $800L - totally worth that, and then some with the excellent attention to detail.

Here’s the SLURL for one of the Chaospire locations: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Io/234/46/52/

The other is in Midnight City! :)

Till next time… and happy shopping! :)

Arienne from Simplicity

Arienne by SimplicityI love Moodii Moxie’s clothes and Arienne is too good a deal to pass up. Head on over to Simplicity and get yourself a copy of this. For L$350 you get the outfit shown here, which also comes with a longer prim skirt and a second set of wings that flap and emit particles. The skirt looks good and adjusted easily.

Arienne by Simplicity Arienne comes in over a dozen colors. The one I’m modeling is called Champagne. You also get the sweet little panties shown left. I found the quality to be good, especially in the detailing on the corset. The variety of options makes it a sweet and sexy outfit for very few lindens.
