Sexy Second will be moving webhosts this weekend and part of that change involves an update to the backend name servers which may cause the website and this blog to be unavailable as the change ripples out across the Internet.
Depending on how your local ISP implements its name service policies, it may take up to 48 hours to return to normal.� Thank you for your understanding during this transition.
So Much to Say…
I would like to be able to say something dramatic like “As I write this, the SexySecond Staff is having its first meeting without me.” I could in fact say that, because I’ll try and hit the Publish button as their meeting starts, but the truth is that the meeting being held by the SexySecond Staff in a few minutes is really the first meeting ever held by the SexySecond Staff. I’m just not that organized in my virtual life.
Meetings for us when I owned this blog were limited to frantic calls to Justine Babii, who taught me how to blog and that WordPress, however evil, is manageable, or panicked email flurries with Arabeth Laval, Graciana McMillan, Marleen Vaughan and Stella Stapleton about how behind I was at getting the magazine out. I guess we met, it was just ansynchronously, at best.
Which, when it comes down to it, is exactly why I sold this whole thing to Celebrity Trollop. My busy rl and SexySecond will be in the great hands of a team of people who have the knowledge and time to make a great blog and magazine for you. I can’t wait to see the wonderful things that Celebrity, Elease and the rest of the team have in store.
I have loved working with all of the great people who have contributed to the blog and the magazine. I’d like to thank all of them and thank all of the readers, fans and friends who have made this such an enjoyable endeavor.

Second Style Media Acquires SexySecond Magazine and Blog
Second Style Media is pleased to announce that it has acquired all assets of SexySecond, including the magazine and website to add to its current roster of Second Life focused fashion media outlets. “Adding SexySecond will let us focus on a totally separate and different readership than Second Style. We are very excited to bring this new media property on board our operations.”
Joining SexySecond as the new managing editor of the magazine is well known graphic designer and photographer Elease Graves. All current advertising arrangements in effect at the time of the purchase will continue to be honored as the magazine expects to move into a monthly production schedule slated to start in September.
Second Life photographers and writers who are interested in freelance contributions to the publication should contact Celebrity Trollop or Elease Graves for more information.
Advertisers interested in reaching a growing Second Life readership are also invited to contact Celebrity or Elease. The ad deadline for our re-vamped, relaunched magazine is August 25th.

Introducing Pheobe Petrov
I am absolutely thrilled to introduce to you the newest member of our blogging family here at SexySecond, Pheobe Petrov. Pheobe is no stranger to the the fashionistas of Second Life, as she has been keeping her own blog, Fashionality, filled to the brim with great finds and wonderful pictures and reviews and now she will share some of that style and energy with our readers as well.
I swear that our good fortune in finding Pheobe is just another example of things happening for a reason, and that there really may be more to heaven and earth than are dreamt of in my philosophy. I had read Pheobe’s blog several times before, but it was not until a mutual friend of ours raved about this sweet and talented woman who is a great blogger with a great sense of style that the light went on and I sent a “hey! would you be interested…” IM. Fortunately for us, she was interested, and I know that you, like me, can’t wait to see Pheobe’s finds.
Welcome to Stella Stapleton!
If you read Issue 2 of SexySecond Magazine, then you’ve seen the work of Stella Stapleton already. She contributed several gorgeous pictures to our 50 Sexiest feature, and before the ink was dry on the magazine I had contacted her about coming to work for us. Stella will be contributing reviews (look for one very soon!) and hopefully will find time to do a weekly feature that highlights some lucky model, or some lucky designer, but especially highlights her incredible photography!
Stella is a co-owner of Stella Isle and Stella’s Mall with her partner, Dingthat Bellman. She jokes that “My partner says that if I spent as much time making clothes as I did taking pics of other people’s clothes, we’d be very, very rich.”
We are absolutely thrilled to have her on board here at SexySecond and are sure that once you see her work, you will be too!
Welcome Lisbeth DeCuir
It is truly an honor to welcome Lisbeth DeCuir to the SexySecond team. Lisbeth is a self proclaimed burlesque or ‘burley’ girl who has a passion for vintage style. Using Second Life as an outlet for her passion for the burlesque, Lisbeth can be seen dancing at The New Champagne Rooms. She reports to us that she is constantly on the look out for new costume ideas and hopes to bring a little slice of the Golden Era to the metaverse. Her typist is also a writer with a weakness for all things retro - but she tends not to do the dancing.
Lisbeth will be reviewing all manner of things from the grid, with an emphasis on vintage and stage costumes. We are all pleased to have her on our team, and when you read her writing, we’re certain that you’ll join us in being a fan of her work.

We might need to make the magazine a monthly experience simply because we’ve been able to bring another fantastic blogger onto our team because of it.
Justine Babii sent me a series of incredible pictures for the magazine and when I complimented her on them, she explained that her friend Graciana had taken them. I immediately IMd Graciana and offered her a place on our crew. I can’t tell you how happy I am that she has accepted!
Graciana is multi-talented. She is a gifted photographer and an incredible writer. She has also achieved considerable success as a model and we feel very fortunate to be able to work with her!

It is a thrill and an honor to welcome Nemi McCoy to the SexySecond Blogging team. Nemi comes to us through Justine Babii, who had contacted Nemi about modeling for our upcoming magazine. As a result of that call, we not only get a top notch model for our magazine, but a knowledgeable fashionista and good friend as well.
For those of you who regularly attend fashion shows, Nemi needs no introduction. She is a longtime Second Life supermodel who has worked with more agencies than we can count. She is currently, among other things, consulting and acting as the runway voice for the MAD Agency. She has been a resident of Second Life since 2004 and we are absolutely thrilled to have her on our team. Welcome Nemi!
Announcing the Second Style Fashion Network
I am very excited to announce the formation of the Second Style Fashion Network, a federation of Second Life fashion focused websites and weblogs. The member blogs of the Fashion Network will be cross-promoting each others content and offering advertisers simultaneously broader and more specialized advertising opportunities — advertise across the entire network, or on one specific blog.
Sexy Second, the blog devoted to all things sensual and sexy in Second Life, is our charter partner and I couldn’t be more happy about it.
