Calendar Contest for Valentine’s Day

Scarlett Niven passed a notecard to me today talking about an exciting new contest and I thought I’d post a blurb about it here. She’s helping to sponsor a contest to help choose ten girls who will join Scarlett and Graciana McMillan in an in-world calendar.

Get a good picture of yourself, in fact, get two.
Get one face shot & one 3/4 body or full body shot of you in the lingerie and styling of your choice and get ready to send them over to Scarlett. Here’s why you want to do this:

The grand prize winner will receive the following:

-25,000L
-A Custom Made Tiara in your choice of metal and color stones
-You will appear in a one page ad in Second Style
-A Basket of assorted romantic goodies like Champagne Tray, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, etc.
-A bubble bath for two with footsie animation
-Scarlett Lingerie from Insolence in not available to the public Pink
-Choice of month in the in-world calendar
-Interview and pictorial on my blog “Digital Image” published on Valentine’s Day
-A party in their honor
-Your professional photos taken for the calendar

Other winners will receive:

-Scarlett Lingerie from Insolence in limited edition pink
-A place in the lingerie calendar
-Your Professional Photos taken for the calendar

The judging will be done by a panel of 5, and models will be graded on look, style and originality in both appearance and set up of photo on a scale of 1-10 in each category and averaged out. PhotoShop and professionally taken photos are allowed. The top scores will be selected. Scarlett adds “I will NOT be one of the judges to keep it objective, but I will view the photos and offer comments.”

Miss Fancy Pants Deigns to Work

Insolence_bordeaux.jpgAll six of you who read this blog AND the Second Life Herald already know that Justine Babii finally snapped. She made yours truly the Post 6 Grrrl this week. It has been a good experience so far and I’m grateful have been asked.

How did I celebrate my newfound fame? I TP’d right into the middle of one of Arabeth’s photo shoots while wearing half a bustier, clashing shoulder prims and glitch shorts. Yes, glamour is my middle name, grace is my other middle name. Jaime thinks it’s karma coming to get me for having sent her that robe.

I consoled myself later by slipping into Scarlett from Insolence. No one makes better SL lingerie than Camilla Yosuke and Scarlett is a favorite of mine. I have it in black and an incredible red wine color called Bordeaux. The lace trim alone is worth the price of admission. Comes in 4 colors, L$ 290 a color.

Me, Post 6 Grrl

I’m this week’s Post 6 Grrl over at the Second Life Herald.

Another Picture from the Post 6 SessionsI’ve been dying to talk about this all week but had to keep it secret. My bestest friend Marilyn Murphy asked me if I’d like to model for Post 6 many many times, but it never seemed right taking advantage of our friendship to further any SL modeling aspirations I might have. (And it turns out I really don’t have any anyhow).

A Picture from The Post 6 Sessions Marilyn decided to take a break as the legendary photog of Second Life, and another friend, Justine Babii of Second Style Magazine was hired to take her place. Apparently Marilyn’s departure and Justine’s arrival were in close enough proximity to a deadline that Justine felt a little desperate and called on little old me to fill in as a model. If you know Justine, you know that turning her down is like kicking a puppy, so I had to do it.

In return for my modeling she promised to let me have any pictures she took that wouldn’t get used (you’ve seen some in the Solange post and will see more in the future as she let me model a bunch of things over a couple of sessions).

The Herald readers have so far been nice and the whole experience has been fun. Marilyn, I hope you enjoy your break and I wish Justine the best with her new position!
