Corset Heaven

I was happily shopping around and about one day and happened upon an SF Design outlet. This little lingerie number just jumped out at me and said “buy me”. Not one to ignore the shopping muse, I bought it. I was so pleased with what I discovered! This lingerie set is called Petite Coquine in pink. I read in the enclosed notecard that the underbust corset was designed by RL designer Elle of “Heavenly Corsets” and can be purchased in RL as well (http://www.ellecorsets.co.uk). I just loved the realistic texturing of the corset and the delicacy of the prim flounce skirt and the lacy shoulder straps. This garment is really well executed and darn it I just felt so pretty! I loved it so much I snapped a pic to show you.sf_Design_petite_coquine.jpg

Sexy Salsa for Stella

So, I was telling my hubby Dingthat Bellman that I really wanted a simple cocktail dress for dancing. I have tons of clothes, but I wanted something simple that I could dress up, something that was short but not *too* short. Also, I hoped for something very colourful for springtime! As a good hubby does, he set to work creating in secret. Soon, he presented me with this Hot Salsa dress! Well, nothing says I love you like a present of a gorgeous dress, I say! This dress comes in three colours, black, claret and chartreuse. I love the longer layered prim which is slightly opaque. The halter, shoulder-baring neckline is perfect for wearing your favourite boa, scarf or necklace. The flexi prim skirt isn’t *too* flexy so you don’t have to worry about your dance partner wearing your dress too! The skirt makes your legs look like they go on forever. I loved them so much that I convinced him to put them up for sale. He did and the generous bloke that he is, he priced them affordable at 175L per dress. I’ve paired the dresses with shoes by Basevi Moda (one of my fave designers of shoes) and Hair by Cher called Princess. The dresses are now available at the Marla store at Stella’s Mall on Stella Isle. Thanks Ding! We hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

INSOLENCE in Springtime

melanie_lingerie_violet.jpg

Spring is in the air and everyone knows what that means…that love is in the air too. Nobody knows this better than camilla Yosuke of INSOLENCE lingerie. How do I know this, you ask? Judging by the beautiful new set of lingerie she’s come out with called Melanie, she seems to have her finger on the very pulse of love and romance.

This beautiful bra, corset and stocking set comes in tons of soft, airy and romantic colours. I’ve chosen the red, violet and teal shades to show, although it also comes in white, black and chocolate; all equally gorgeous. The lingerie sets also come in different layers so you can go VERY sheer at the bust line or a little more demure, depending on your mood ~ or your partner’s mood! The material, especially the sheer bra option, mimics the gracefulness of tulle and the little flower detailing that embellishes the set is hand drawn. You’ll truly feel beautiful and sexy in this design and it definitely puts a Spring in your step. By the way, the shoes are by Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes Stiletto Slippers in Black and Silver.

Fashion Finds at Mannon’s

sexy_julia_mannon_v2_copy.jpgdahliah_by_mannon_and_emily_boots_blog.jpgMannon Mannonen of Mannon’s Fashion gave me a peek of one of her dresses called “Sexy Julia Tiger”. The texturing on this dress is gorgeously complex, with layers of a tiger pattern separated by tiers of black lace. I love this dress because it’s so sophisticated but you can wear it anywhere. Also included is a really lovely pair of shoes! The shoes have a sound option as well.

Also, she showed me one of her new outfits called “Dahliah”, the one pictured is Dahliah in Red. I’ve paired it with a pair of Mannon’s “Emily” boots in Red. This is a very cool, swanky little outfit. It’s got a pretty floral, spaghetti strap tank over an open black leather jacket and the skinny pants have a matching floral belt.

Mannon is becoming well known for her unique style of clothing so you can stand apart from the crowd. She is great at pairing bold textures with gorgeous colours. Her outfits always have lots of layering options and great accessories. What girl doesn’t love her accessories?

Just a Kind of Magika

Magika.jpgI was flipping around Flickr the other day and was reading a discussion on where people like to buy hair (as it’s one of my favourite addictions) and came across a mention of a new-to-me store called Magika . So, I popped on over and was immediately impressed. So, I bought a few styles of hair which are great, by the way, and decided to see what else was on offer. I saw a coat - kaching - bought it, saw a top - kaching - bought that too. Then I saw the little number that’s featured in the picture here. It’s simply called Black Teddy and it’s really beautiful! Actually, truth be told, my picture doesn’t do it justice. The body of the teddy has a fabulous swirled embossing that gives it an almost ‘armoured’ texture if you know what I mean - the swirls appear to wrap around you. The seams of the item are perfectly straight with no little ‘jaggies’. I was so impressed with this and the other items I bought, I am definitely going back for more. In the picture, I am wearing sunglasses by Nylon Outfitters (word of caution to readers who are not good at editing prims, I edited this pair of glasses to be MUCH smaller than the original) and ETD hair called Kizzy.

Spring has Sprung at Vitamin Ci

vitamin_ci_Gabbi_II_in_watermelon.jpgCiera Bergman of Vitamin Ci was kind enough to send me a dress from her new line called Gabbi II. This dress is the perfect ultra mini for spring! There are six colours and I’ve chosen Watermelon for the picture. The texturing of this is absolutely beautiful showing a very delicate plaid and an empire waistline with embellishment just under the neckline. Vitamin Ci is well known for quality and this dress is a perfect example! With this pretty spring dress, you’ll be turning heads! Gabbi II is available at the Vitamin Ci shop on Hefferoo or on the web at Onrez. I’ve chosen hair by Analog Dog called ‘n curl to go with this cute outfit.

Ballet anyone?

spirit_ballet_line_tutu_corset_grape.jpgspirit_ballet_Class_in_lavender_001.jpg SavannahAnn McMillan of SPIRIT kindly sent me some of her new Spring ‘08 Ballet collection and how cute are these outfits?? They certainly unleash that inner prima ballerina in you :) The outfits are complete with tutu and matching purse (also available separately), as well as a longer skirt (scripted and unscripted), mix and match corsets and tops, and sculpted ballet slippers. They have lots of options for different looks. I’ve chosen Spring Ballet Class in Lavender and Spring Ballet Tutu/Corset outfit in Grape. Remember to warm up first!

Did you see the special offers?

049the_50_11.jpgIn case you missed them, you might want to go back and have another look at the latest issue of SexySecond Magazine…

/me inserts handy link here

Looking to spice up your love life a little?

The ad from Strokerz Toyz, for example, will give you seriously great reason to take another look at the magazine and then go visit Strokerz. I talked to Stroker himself, and he’s excited to support the readers of SexySecond in their shopping needs, so go take a look at his ad in the magazine and then run run run to Strokerz as his offer is only good until May 31st! He did add though that you HAVE TO MENTION THE AD!

Other places are doing promotions based on their inclusion in the magazine. Samara Studios for example is offering the dress we featured for FREE if you purchase any other collection from them! I spoke with Callie Cline, and she said she might give away the Boa we featured as a gift to her group, so there’s all kinds of great things going on.

Know any other specials? Leave a post and let me know!

Personally Speaking

Persona_gown.jpg I found this gorgeous gown at Persona recently. I thought that that the lace texture that embellishes the bodice and the hem of the skirt was so pretty that I just had to buy it and see for myself! This gown is called Samantha and the shade featured in the picture is Rose. I just love it! The flexi prims are REALLY flexi but I love that feature in this particular dress because it shows the pretty lace detailing underneath the skirt prims. I love Myllie Writer’s designs …always so elegantly simple and she uses beautiful shades of colours. Her dresses and casual wear are so ladylike in that Audrey Hepburn way that I can’t resist them. The strapless bodice with embellishment at the ruched neckline lends a huge hint of sophisticated flirtatiousness. The little white gloves also imbues the dress with a retro or vintage feel and the stockings are perfectly opaque so as not to distract attention from the dress.
To go with the dress, I chose a pair of new Stiletto Slippers by Basevi Moda in white. Lara Basevi of Basevi Moda Sexy Shoes is one of the best shoe designers out there in my opinion. Her shoes are so intricately detailed and many styles have different options to suit your taste (bling/no bling) and all her shoes come with a detachable sexy walk, if you like, and come in a myriad of colours to choose from. So, off I go dancing now *waves*

SexySecond Issue #3 Available

001Coversmallest.jpg The third Issue of SexySecond Magazine is available for reading now at Issuu. You can click the magazine cover to the left or this link
to get there.

I am especially proud of this issue because the articles are great, but especially because of the sheer number of readers who contributed their pictures and picks for the 50 sexiest outfits. It literally brought tears to my eyes to see that so many people think so much of us!

Have fun with the mag, if you have any questions or comments I’d love to read them. I have made a “vendor” of sorts for issue three, it links to our website as the magazine is not available in world. If you would like one, just IM me in-world!

Enjoy!

Oh, before I forget! If you have trouble opening issuu and you’re using Internet Explorer, try using the Firefox web browser instead. It seems to like Firefox better.
