Skins from Jolie Femme
SexySecond is more about clothes than anything, but in the case of these skins from Jolie Femme, we’ll make an exception. As a PG to NC17 warning, the thumbnail below is edited, but clicking on it will yield a full nude full size picture. You’ve been warned.
Anyhow, I was wandering around Jolie Femme the other day and one of their live models caught my attention. She was nude, which I though odd in a clothing store, so I wandered over to see that she was in the skins section. OMG, what wonderful skins! I love the texture and color and shading. The make-up sets are tasteful and subtle and look real. The skins shown here are from the Sophie series in Fair coloring. The make-up above is called Mid-Bronze Goddess-Curtain Call.
The part that I noticed most about the skins, however, and the part that gets these a mention in the SexySecond, is the wonderful work on the, shall we say, finer details. If you enjoy Second Life because it gives you a chance to revisit your real life younger years, before things started to sag, check these skins out, the nipples and areolae are absolute perfection. The pubes come with a Brazilian or trimmed, and in general, if you want a skin that not everyone else is wearing that is delightful to strip to bare, go take a look at these. Each skin is L$ 1000, a pack of four is L$ 3000, and a super mega pack of 16 is only L$ 6000.
The Silk Raven’s Romance from Solange
I read the posts by Arabeth and Celebrity with their silks and feel proud of myself, what with the fact that I have something for show and tell and no one even told me it’s silks week. And let me tell you this is one mighty fine set of silks too. The moaning coming from the computer room last night at Fannie’s house was just me getting my silk on.
This is a new line of silks from Solange’s Gor and Fantasy branch, The Silk Raven, and it’s called Romance. It’s as scrumptous as it looks in the pictures. The set is L$ 600 for the silks and L$ 250 for the veil. I can’t rave about this enough. The set comes in six colors that are trimmed in silver and six other colors that are trimmed in gold. Same with the matching veil. The color I’m wearing is Fuschia and even though I have other stuff to review, it’s gonna have to wait because I look so good this is staying on a while.
The textures are too much to believe on this, both in the opaque and the sheer silk parts. It looks like real silk. The fine details in the prim attachments is unbelievable. The arm ruffles, pearl necklace and pearl belt, the hip drape, and thighband; all that stuff comes with this and sets this outfit apart. You get choice too, there’s sheer versions of the top and panties, and a couple of versions of the silk itself. For accessories you get the necklace, two pearl belts to choose from and a silk drape also. I love the veil too. It’s an extra purchase but well worth it.
Thank you Solange, you’ve made me the sexiest girl in the harem again.
Encore
I’m wearing paisley. And I look hot.
This is the great new release from Tracy Scofield of Encore, and the moment I saw it all I wanted to do was slip it on. While paisley wouldn’t normally be my choice of print, I must admit that I was impressed with the patterning on this and despite my initial prejudice, I think the dress would have been far less interesting in a solid colour.
Kandi comes in four colours, and they all look fantastic: I’m modelling ‘Ginger’ for you. The dress front is low cut for maximum cleavage, with a band beneath the bust for added emphasis, just in case you needed it. The main appeal of this dress has to be the rather unique cut with a panel scored away from either side to give a tapered path from the chest down to the skirt. If you can find the right jewellery to accessorise, you can lead the eye very well around your body; this dress could be a lethal weapon, I suggest you wear with care.
The skirt comes in two versions, one with tulle trim and one without. The prims are done very well and didn’t require any fitting on me; movement is smooth and it’s beautifully floaty when you’re hovering. I’m particularly fond of the little arm ruffles that sit on bands on the upper arm. They’re very delicate and feminine and finish the dress nicely.
Kandi is not a conservative dress, but it is modest enough to be worn as you please without fear of ruffling any feathers. Priced at $175L per colour, you won’t break the bank either.
Analise and Adam ‘n’ Eve silks
Maybe it’s a little too close to Arabeth’s Nubian Angel post to go with another round of silks, but I couldn’t think of a better way to inaugerate my first “real” post here at Sexy Second without sharing Analise and Adam-n-Eve with you all.
All of these outfits were photographed in the Samarkand sim.

On the left is the Kimara silk — brand new — by Talyn Barrett. Analise and Solange are probably the two top silk creators in Second Life. Both of them share exquisite attention to detail, and just jaw-droppingly good textures. I love the slightly more modest belly-dance inspired top here and the detailing trim on these silk skirts are just to die for.
On the right is Entwined. It’s categorized as a silk, but it could probably pull off a moonlight job as a very slinky sexy formal dress. Like everything else Analise releases it has stunning attention to detail, especially in the alpha texturing holes along the hemline of the skirts and the flexi sleeve attachments. One thing I’ll never get tired of in Second Life is the absolutely stunning gravity defying clothing.

On the left I’m modeling Lilith Rising — another more Middle Easter/bellydance inspired look. It’s not quite as Gor-fashion driven as most silk designs and with the right Bellydance AO (available from Nephilaine Protagonist or Sparkle Skye) you could really amuse your friends and delight your Gor-master, if you’re into that sort of thing.
The final silk here is the first new silk design by sachi Vixen of Adam ‘n’ Eve in quite a while. It’s named “Adorned” for obvious reasons. It comes packaged with the harem pants as shown, or with a very flouncy transparent skirt option. I couldn’t stop loving the gold fabric contrasted with the gems. I kept searching through my inventory for the right veil to match this set.
Analise is located on Talana (130, 131, 25). Adam ‘n’ Eve is located at Genesis (28, 151, 23)
Getting My Latex on Again with POC
I reviewed one of my favorites, a latex catsuit from Powers of Creation the other day and soon after got a whole big pile of latex goodness from owner Kai Heideman. Ladies, you must check this stuff out, it is the shiz.
I’m not the fastest thinker or counter here at SexySecond so it will take me a while to figure out exactly what’s here, and that’s a good thing, because it was just four packages that were sent over, and by my figuring, if I’d bought these things, I would have only paid L$800 for the whole pile. And it is a big pile.
Let’s see: Good stuff [check] Sexy [check] Inexpensive [check] Woot! Time to dig in!
The four packages were the latex undies (L$100), the latex garters (L$150), the latex top collection (L$ 250) and the latex bodies collection (L$300). The color is called Blood.
In the pictures I’m wearing things from each one, but I’ll try to sort it out. In the top picture you can see one of the sets of garters along with one of the sets of underwear. The Underwear set comes with 5 different tops, each on underwear and shirt layers, and two sets of underwear, each of those on underwear and pants layers. The garter set comes with a couple of very slight variations on the garter in many different layers, including jacket.
The bodies set is not what it sounds like; think one piece swimsuit designs in latex. There are two different cuts for the bottoms and maybe six different tops, from tube tops to the open top you see in the middle picture above. To the left we have one of the tops from the top collection. I lose track of how many different tops come with this, but it’s in the range of 8. Let’s just say that this set complements the latex catsuit set and gives you zillions of combination possibilities. All of these come with everything available on both shirt and undies layers.
Powers of Creation makes great latex, and the design packages offer flexibility you won’t believe. They come in a bunch of good colors and are priced so that you can try a couple. Start with the basic catsuit I reviewed the other day and add a pack here or there. You’ll thank me for it.
Nubian Angel
I know I’ve reviewed a lot of silks lately, but you can’t deny you’ve been spoilt with quality and variety. I assure you that these offerings from Nubian Angel are among the finest that have graced my skin.
The Sorceress set will have you reaching for your trusty quarterstaff immediately: you’ll be using it to fend off the torrents of admirers or would-be captors, depending on exactly where you decide to flaunt your body. The delicate top seems to just be holding together: it’s detailed enough to give great shape but does not draw attention to itself and away from the crux of this outfit. That’s good design. The tantalising skirt is unusual in its composition, with a long open front that
shortens to the back. I was stood still for a long time just admiring the belt clasps and other adornments: the way everything is pieced together gives an added realism to this set, making the swaying and swishing of the material about your hips all the more satisfying.
Surprisingly, the finishing touch for me was the tattoo. I’m not normally a great one for body paint, but this really lends something to the art of the piece. A glimpse of the pattern beneath the sheer skirt panels contrasts with the stronger impressions elsewhere on the skin. It gives an illusion of added coverage and interest that brings the whole thing to life.
Hiri Nurmi’s latest release is the Ankh set. This is entirely prim based and took a little adjusting to get the fit right on me (ok, I missed with the belly chain, forgive my impatience) but I was really pleased once it was sitting correctly. Being honest, I’m not entirely sure I’m wearing the bra exactly as it was intended, but I don’t think anyone would argue that my take doesn’t look supremely sexy. I would venture so far as to say that these silks are even more detailed than the first: intricate drapes and carefully crafted ties suggest this is something that took time and patience to put on: of course it won’t be quite as difficult to remove again. The belt is composed of cords tied to single ring links, centring on the nether regions which are festooned in hanging cord and crested with the namesake symbol. Interestingly, it is scripted so that the Ankh can be hidden if you so wish. The skirt on this flares at a stand, framing your lower limbs with dramatic effect.
Ankh comes in a small and normal size which is handy, although all the items are copy/mod so can be adjusted to fit your unique shape. The main prims in each outfit are sculpties which makes them more easily adjustable and has the bonus of making causing less of a lag-fest than you may anticipate. All the silks come complete with a detailed instruction note to aid in resizing, but if you’re totally stuck you can send out a copy of your shape and Hiri will do the work for you for a fee: I would suggest dropping her a card if you’re struggling.
Hiri specialises in prim design, and it certainly shows in these outfits. If you’re tempted by these, or even just curious, do visit her beautiful shop and take a look at the displays to get an ever better idea of the work.
Sorceress skirt set: $1000L ; Ankh silks (Scarlet): $1000L
Set parts are available for purchase individually
Gothica
I love this time of year in RL and the idea of spending my first Halloween in Second Life thrills me. I’m getting all of my best Halloween stuff out to show off. I’m starting with a couple of sexy gothy things and a recommendation that everyone who hasn’t been out to X2’s Gothica on Exotica Island.
First is this ensemble. Striped Black Pants with Lace are L$250. I LOVE the way they look and fit. The dress shirt in black net comes in three states of open for L$400. You have a choice of 3 colors and two patterns.
These same pants come in a shiny version and a latex version. They also come in all those styles in a deep red.
The latex version of the pants are fun because they work well without other latex, which a lot of bodysuit latex doesn’t do. In the picture I’m showing them with a top from Gothica that was L$200.
The skins in the pictures are also by Gothica. They are the pale range. The top is the glamour make-up and the bottom is tribal. Each skin is L$1400 or L$4000 for 5.

This Isn’t Grandma’s Crochet
Nyla Cheeky of the House of Nyla is a real life fashion designer as well as a Second Life Fashion Designer. She has been featured in many real life and Second Life periodicals and publications, including a great feature on a Canadian news network (If you’re not familiar with her, check out this SLNN article about her by our own Justine Babii).
Her in-world designs are high-end fashion and are absolutely gorgeous, or playful, or innovative, depending on Nyla’s goal for each piece. With her latest line, I think she hit all three of those, and brought in a lot of sexy too. Nyla’s latest line, a series of crochet pieces, might not be what you think of when you think sexy, but try some on and your mind will change.
The peek-a-boo nature of a loose crochet knit is the key to the sexy appeal of these outfits. There are bikinis, a one-piece (shown), a knee length dress, a mini dress (shown, above) and a gown. Each comes in fifteen colors and each cleverly seems to reveal more than it actually does, making them perfect for driving your significant other wild as you shake it in the dance floor or lounge by the virtual pool.
The crochet designs are beautifully executed, the transparency is sharp and clear. The minidress comes with what amounts to a one piece on the underwear level as well as the skirt, which is a mesh skirt. Everything that needs to be covered is covered and stays covered.
As is true in the real world, if you want designer fashion it often comes with a designer price tag, and Nyla, as Second Life’s resident real life designer, is no exception. The minidress is L$ 1250 and the one-piece is L$ 750. It turns out though that my real life addiction to designer labels carries to Second Life. I was wearing the minidress while checking prices on another item and someone complimented on it, asking if it was from House of Nyla. I smiled and thanked her for making my day. Go ahead and call me shallow, I’ll take solace in being exquisitely dressed.
Curious Kitties Makes Me Purr
Have you ever landed at a store and wished that they had a super mega fat pack that included everything in the store? I’m that way about Curious Kitties. So when Ameshin Yossarian sent me a package of items to review the other night, you’ll have to take my word for it when I say that Second Life has yet to make s happy dance animation happy enough to express how I felt. Look at these outfits!!
First is the Pirschjager Dress in red. An adorable red striping with bows and accents enough to make the outfit interesting, but not enough to overwhelm. This is a wonderfully short to the point of almost daring dress that will turn heads. Pirschjager comes in 8 colors and sells for L$ 300.
I find that one of the strengths of Curious Kitties is that their separates can make great outfits, either with other pieces from them or with your faves from other places. The Cyver Fishnet Halfcut top (L$ 150) goes so well with the Tidation Skirt (L$ 175) but in truth they are separates from opposite ends of the Curious Kitties clothing shop.
Tidation is shown in black, it comes in eight colors and is nestled into a wall full of great skirts that you have to see to believe if you haven’t been to Curious Kitties lately.
Here we have two more separates, the short PVC top (L$ 125) and the brand new Fishnet Fairy Skirt, which has an easy color change built in to match to your favorite tops. With a wrap top that echoes barbed wire, and the jagged top hem, the Fishnet Fairy Skirt (L$ 175) is all about sexy punk attitude and should look good with far too many pieces not to have it.
Curious Kitties is a must-see store, just on the strength of their clothes. (Imagine, we didn’t even get to their hair and accessories!) When you look over and see me shopping next to you, be sure to say hi.
