In Effect - Nymphetamine

Paeoti Pomeray was the first designer I reviewed on Sexy Second, and with her latest release ‘In Effect’, I couldn’t resist blogging her again. Still, I knew you wouldn’t be too disappointed with me when you saw what was on offer.
This set contains plenty of pieces for mix and match; you can wear it as underwear, outerwear, a little for now and something for later… however your imagination allows for it.
The bodice is simply done, strapless with silver studs running under the upper trim. The satin sheen is achieved with careful lighting that brings this to life, hinting at a richness and quality in the fabric that begs attention. The back scoops low, with crossed straps to add some interest to otherwise bare skin; the top can be worn cropped or longer with the jacket layer to cover the stomach completely.
Beneath you’ll find the panties - plain but brilliantly textured and cut high to the leg. These can be worn with or without suspenders and both versions come on the trouser layer, presumably to allow for tattoos - not that you’ll want anything other than these seamed fishnets adorning your legs. The seaming here isn’t perfect (I wouldn’t like to imagine the lengths you’d have to go to in order to match all those little hatches perfectly) but anyone who is looking that closely for mesh lines when you’re wearing this needs their head examining. The big buckle details on the straps are of the same styling as those on the gloves, which you will probably feel the need to wear with everything in your current wardrobe: I love the detailing that centres these on the middle finger, making them both unusual and glamorous. They finish the set perfectly however you choose to wear the other pieces because they pick up on detailing from every section. Expertly done, Paeoti.
If you’re big on bows, you’ll adore the prim skirt which is constructed from layers and layers of delicate netting, with a solid underskirt for a little more depth. With two dinky bows to the front and a larger flexi version behind, when paired with other pieces from the set, you can construct a look that manages to be pretty as well as naughty, which isn’t something that always flows together too well.
Although this is priced at $650L, you do get nine pieces to the set to allow for a number of different looks, and can pair off parts with other items in your wardrobe. Take a trip to Nymphetamine and take a little look for yourself. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
