It was Saturday when I started this post: I’ve been out for a night on the town! I simply had to share with you this gorgeous number from Ambergris: it’s called ‘Slickety Black’ and indeed it lives up to its name.
Slickety Black is just right for this season. Technically you’re wearing a jacket - which just happens to expose arm and breast flesh, but will keep your neck free from those prevailing winds. The skirt is long enough to be superbly swishy, especially if you’re hovering or doing a lot of posing (a la Arabeth) and I simply adore the texturing on it. The effect in the picture is largely due to my tendency to adjust my weight from foot to foot - if you’ve seen the heels I walk around in, you’ll sympathise - where the system skirt juts through the prim outer. I happen to think it works pretty well, although this can be adjusted to cover a little more leg if you’re so inclined.
The boots are included with this one, which makes it a bargain at $325L. I love this so much as a standalone that I don’t even bother accessorising, although I do recommend using the skirt, boots and top to mix and match with various other wardrobe items to get the most out of your money.
Anyway, I’m off to party some more. See you on the dance floor!
